We will create the Cardano Runners Community Hub in Vietnam to connect the community who are interested in running and jogging.

We will create a Cardano Runners Community Hub in Vietnam and then for the Cardano community globally. 

The first Cardano Runners Community Hub’s activity is a virtual running event via Uprace application (a well-known running application in Vietnam: https://uprace.org/)

We raised the fund to organize a global virtual running event called “Cardano Incredible Race 2022” which will be held within 3 weeks. Please refer to the documents for details of this virtual running event https://bit.ly/cardano-uprace-rule

Running is one of the most popular and practiced sports worldwide. A recent survey of worldathletics show that more people have taken up running during the Covid-19 pandemic, and all of those intend to maintain their newfound passion for the sport once the pandemic is over

Among the many benefits of running is the chance to experience the ‘runner’s high’. “It begins with this peace of mind and then a greater ease of movement, a sense of power and confidence, optimism and hope, and you will often hear runners describe feeling loving and connected to everyone and everything,” explained Kelly McGonigal, a psychologist, educator and author of The Joy of Movement, during a recent World Athletics 'Run Anywhere' Webinar in collaboration with Mass Participation World.

Sponsors (Cardano’s projects, Pool Operators) will be listed as Diamond/Gold/Silver on all marketing materials that create impact to the local community (estimated at least 10,000 runners without counting social media reach).

With this event, we believed that all the KPI of this challenges will be address. 

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

The Uprace application could not afford a big scale of people joining the event. 

The runners commit fraud/ cheating during the event.

We will work with the Uprace developer team to inform them about the possibility of the big scale of people who may join and work closely with them for the solution.

We also work with them for some forms of anti-fraud, cheating mechanisms. 

ADA price fluctuation. We add USD 1,000 to cover the ADA price fluctuation

[FEASIBILITY] Please provide a detailed plan, including timeline and key milestones for delivering your proposal.

After receiving the fund:

• First 10 days: create the marketing/communication materials
• Next 20 days: work with Uprace team to create the event on Uprace App and solution for anti-fraud/ scale.
• 2 months to the event date: Starting to communication/ marketing activities.
• Complete t-shirt and medal design, online certificate design.
• Event date: 3 weeks from 5 November 2022 to 26 November 2022.
• 1-15 December 2022 collecting result and order reward,
• 15 December 2022 to 25 December 2022: deliver the reward to winners, fund transfer to Cardano Forest Project.

• Social Media cost: $5,120 (facebook ads, marketing campaign…), in detail:
• Fanpage/facebook post to introduce about the event: USD 120 (USD 40$/ post * 3 post)
• Seeding (30 running/sport facebook groups using 3 above post) USD 1,500.
• Email Marketing: USD 500 for 10,000 User
• Design for POSM, event banner, facebook post: USD 1500
• Fanpage and facebook group management during the event: USD 500
• Award operation: USD 1,000
• Connect with companies/ cardano projects/ pool operators to raise fund for donation: (10 companies/projects/operators x 1 hrs x $ 60 = $ 600
• T-shirt and Medal: 500 x $ 20 = $10,000
• T-shirt and Medal delivery cost: $1.5 * $500 = $ 750 
• Donation to plant the trees to Cardano Forest in Vietnam Project/ other tree planting organisation in Vietnam with “Cardano Runners Community” Recognition Certificate: $2,000
• NFT Completion Certificate mint on Cardano: $ 2,500 (estimate of 2,000 Certificates)  
• Project management: 30 hrs x $ 60 = $ 1,800.

Gamification:

Painter on run: 15 prizes x $ 20 each = USD 300

Tiktok team video: 5 prizes x $100 each = USD 500

Risk management (see above): USD 1,000

Total fund need: USD 24,870

(3) Technical assistant: Uprace team https://uprace.org/ - a non-for profit organisation who dedicate on providing social running assistant. They commited to allocate 3 people from their team to support about the technial issues before and during the event.

We will out source the following work

• T-shirt, medal designing and manufactoring, the delivering services to handle reward delivery.
• Certificate desing and NFT minting

When we do it sucessfully in Vietnam, we will continue to raise fund to do for other East Asia Countries to create more impact.

• Number of participants: We expect 10,000 participants for this event and acknowledge Cardano.
• 2,000 new wallets created and redeem NFT certificate minted on Cardano Blockchain
• 50 teams were created.
• Distance: 300,000 KMs accumulated.
• The fund raised for donation: $15,000. ($0.05 per KMs)
• Cardano Runners Community Hub’s facebook group has 10,000 members.

• The event finished.
• Rewards are delivered to winners. 
• The donation fund is distributed to Cardano Forest in Vietnam Project or other tree planting organisation in Vietnam.
• A cardano running hub was created and will have many activities in the future.
• “Cardano Runners Community Hub in Vietnam” Facebook Group created with 10,000 members

[AUDITABILITY] Please provide information on whether this proposal is a continuation of a previously funded project in Catalyst or an entirely new one.

Our proposal in Fund 8 were voted by more than 12Million ADA but not funded. One of the reason i think is the community is concerning the feasibilty of the proposal since i just delare two key team members, at that time I am not include the support team from Uprace as team member.

We believing this will create the great impact to cardano community therefore we raise the proposal again this fund.
