Despite the fact that blockchain holds immense potential to empower and transform local communities, most of our people still haven’t given much attention to it as they see it for only tech geeks.
Our idea seeks to bridge the knowledge gap through local media engagements and seminars to enable locals feel inclusive to harness the full capabilities of this blockchain and the Cardano ecosystem
This is the total amount allocated to Catalyst Home Effect: Empowering Locals with Comprehensive Blockchain Education for Digital Transformation.

SDG subgoals:
Facilitate sustainable and resilient infrastructure development in developing countries through enhanced financial, technological and technical support to African countries, least developed countries, landlocked developing countries and small island developing States
Key Performance Indicator (KPI):
Total official international support (official development assistance plus other official flows) to infrastructure

Challenge:
In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, comprehensive blockchain technology holds immense potential to empower and transform local communities. The problem here is that, most people often feel left out when it comes to blockchain as they think it is only for computer experts. Our idea seeks to bridge the knowledge gap through local media engagements and seminars to enable locals harness the full capabilities of this revolutionary technology. Using the idea that we are a part of their communities and what we do, we will present blockchain technology as the foundation in local communities; making them feel inclusive and safe to participate in as we then explore with them the Cardano Ecosystem and its vast opportunities.
Proposed Solution:
We will hold a series of blockchain discussions on local radio stations, one-on-one engagements with locals through street invasion with resource packs with vital information on Cardano blockchain printed and distributed during our street engagements.
We will finally hold major seminars where we bring all different groups of people together to have their questions on blockchain answered and deliver an in-depth training on Cardano Ecosystem.
The knowledge we will be sharing throughout our project will help reshape the minds of people regarding blockchain present insights that will allow them actively and effectively partake in this evolving technology to cause the digital transformation we seek as Africans starting with Cardano Blockchain
“Locals” as used in our idea encompasses all class of people in communities we will reach out to; school graduates, business owners, workers in various sectors(formal and informal), students currently home for vacations. We intend presenting Cardano to all
Aims of our project:
Cardano places a strong emphasis on community engagement and social impact; equipping locals with the necessary skills and understanding of the Cardano ecosystem will foster financial inclusion, drive innovation on project catalyst as we engage with locals with interests in varied sectors, empower entrepreneurship and open doors to new opportunities as they participate in global markets which in a long run will bring digital transformation.
Cardona Blockchain is the perfect fit to help them navigate this path.
Major activities we will undertake
Our project will cover three main activities;
Where the above activities will be carried out in two different developing communities targeting over 2,000 radio audience. People who will be interested to learn more and will make it to the seminar will further be guided on Cardono Ecosystem. .In all, we expect the following by the end of our project;
Impact of our project on Cardano blockchain
Detailed report and documentation: We will take comprehensive reports and documentation on the progress of the project to be shared with the cardano community.
Social media updates sharing: We will leverage on social media platforms to share updates of the project and create more awareness to the general public.
Educative videos and infographics for Open-source use: Videos will be recorded and infographs containing useful Cardano related contents will be shared online to the public for future reference as we will have team of well experienced videographers and graphic designers.
Collaborate with bloggers to share updates of our project: We will liaise with tech bloggers to have updates and contents of projects published.

We therefore believe that the scope of our project is best fitted for expertise
We shall present periodic reports as we kick start the project
A. Create awareness of Cardano ecosystem to the general public
Validation: We shall have discussion on Cardono across a number of radio stations in two communities
B. More members joining Cardano Ghana Community
Validation: Attendees of the seminars will be given the the chance to join the Cardano Ghana community where updates will be shared regarding activities that are in the pipeline.
C. More participation in Project Catalyst
Validation: As we take locals through the Cardano Ecosystem, we will have some taking roles as proposal reviewers with some submitting ideas and this will increase participation in Project Catalyst
D. Increased number of downloads for ADA wallets
Validation: We will attendees through steps to download and set up their Defi wallets to be able to make P2P transactions
We intend to use three months to execute our project in two difference communities. In month one and two, we create awareness general awareness and in month 3, we hold seminars to have an in-depth education for those who will be interested to learn more.
Milestone 1: Project Preparation and Radio Discussions
Duration: 1 month (October)
Estimated Cost: 14,057 ADA
Milestone 2: Street Engagements
Duration: 1 month (November)
Estimated Cost: 8,878 ADA
Milestone 3: Seminars and Project Evaluation
Duration: 1 month (December)
Estimated Cost: 12,618 ADA
We shall set different dates for each month to carry out activities on two communities simultaneously.
Milestone 1: Project Preparation and Radio Discussions
Deliverables:
Outcome:
Intended Outcome:
The intended outcome of the project preparation and radio discussions milestone is to establish a strong foundation for the project, gather valuable insights, and generate interest and among locals
Milestone 2: Street Engagements
Deliverables
Outcome
Increased Project Awareness: By engaging directly with individuals on the streets, we make them feel inclusive of what we are presenting to them and they will be able to ask questions and seek for clarification
Intended Outcome:
The intended outcome of street engagements for our project is to create a well-informed and engaged local community that understands the project's goals, benefits, and implications. By conducting street engagements and gathering feedback, we will be well informed on areas to cover during seminar.
Milestone 3: Seminars and Project Evaluation
Deliverables:
Outcome:
Intended Outcome:
The intended outcome of seminars and project evaluation is to foster knowledge sharing, encourage reflection, and generate recommendations for future projects.

1800 ADA has been designated for Publicity and Marketing as we intent to reach to locals in two different communities. This will involve printing various sizes of flyers and design a variety to be shared more on social media which we will hire graphic designers.
We consider this necessary for the success of the project as marketing and publicity will draw the attention of the general public, bring more people to participate in the conference and leave information on minds of people on Cardano, even people who might be make it to the conference will find time to eventually learn about it as we market frequently. Cost of printing and hiring graphic designers will be catered for under this funds.
Printing of T shirts and resource pack is very essential in executing our project as the shirts help in creating awareness and the resource packs will be distributed to a wide number of people during our street engagements. We intent that even if some are not able to make it the seminar. The resource pack will be a starting point to their crypto journey as it will provide interesting highlights on blockchain and the Cardano ecosystem. An amount of 6,000 ADA will help in getting us set up under this category of our budget.
The cost of accommodation, rentals, transportation and feeding has been on the rise due to the economic instability of the country but the designated amounts respectively will help cater for such expenses so as to ensure that activities of the project are carried out in an organized matter to convey the comprehensive education we intend giving out.
Other expenses in the budget are carefully prepared considering current cost of goods and services in the country and they all play a vital role in ensuring that at the end of the project, we will have over 500 locals knowing about Cardano blockchain and actively participating in utilizing services within the Cardano community.
All these gives a total amount of 35,000 ADA to help in executing the project effectively.
