We have developed a gaming system that works with different currencies (for example Airmiles) where all games can allow members to Earn or Burn that currency. The white label solutions we built in the past were used by airlines to allow their member to interact with their brand while playing games with their currency.

We are GamesLoyal, a startup focused on gaming and miles (https://gamesloyal.com/)

For this project, we decided the best fit for this audience is a prediction game where users can select their predictions on the different games to be played in the FIFA Qatar 2022 football WorldCup.

The plan is to develop a customized prediction game but also adapt the gaming platform that administers registrations, leaderboards, gaming content, and credits. This way it will be easy to add other games we already have or future partners.

All games can be part of a gaming destination we named PlayCardano.com, where games are divided by verticals: Free to play, skill, social, arcade, casual, etc.

ADA WorldCup sports prediction game proposal

 

Summary: This exciting free game gives players the opportunity to see if they can correctly predict the winning outcomes and scores of matches played in many of the world’s most popular sporting leagues.

 

Game Play: Players are provided with a full schedule of all matches to be played in a specific league over the following weekly schedule. Free prediction cards are completed that indicate which team will win each match, along with the corresponding final score. Points are awarded for each correct prediction, and total aggregate scores for the tournament are added to the leaderboard to see who is the winner!

Members will win ADA or Tokens that can be exchanged for prizes, but can only be played by Cardano members. Gamers select prediction cards to guess the winners of the matches in the WorldCup or other sports tournaments we select.

Soccer WorldCup is divided into phases: Group phases, group of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and final.

Points are issued based on the correct predictions and a leaderboard reflects the winners and the rewards they win based on their position.

In the past, we offered 1 Million miles to the winner and different rewards to the rest of the leaderboard players, here we will offer 1 Million ADA if all predictions are correct (note this is covered by insurance) and a guaranteed prize of 5.000 Adas.

Members will complete a short registration form on the gaming site, selecting a unique username that is required for leaderboards, as well as providing limited personal information. 

Members will be asked to provide their Cardano wallet address so that they are able to collect winnings. If they do not already have a wallet they will be directed to Cardano to create one. If members do not wish to provide this information on registration they will be prompted to do so at such time as they win Ada on the gaming platform.

Members that achieve high scores in the game will earn Ada for playing, which will be paid directly into their Cardano wallets.

Optionally members could also be awarded with a small number of Ada immediately in order to provide them with additional incentives to create a Cardano wallet, and of course to stimulate a transaction.

General Rules

The objective of the Sports Prediction Challenge game is to accumulate the most points by correctly selecting the "winning outcome" for each of the corresponding matches within each “contest”.

The game may be played with different sports leagues or tournaments, and each Predictor Game has a defined number of contests each with a predetermined amount of matches during the contest period. Cards are awarded on registration (1), and an additional card will be awarded for each 1 Ada Coins spent. Each card is only valid for one contest.

Once you have received your cards, you open each one, select the match results and scores you predict, and submit it before the deadline time that is posted. Once you submit your Predictor Card no changes are allowed.

Scoring

There is one leader board per contest, and the results of each contest will be posted on that leaderboard. Only the results from your best Predictor Card will be posted, i.e. you can only have one placement on each contest leaderboard.

You will be awarded 5 points for selecting the correct winning team of each match and you can earn an additional 2 points for correctly predicting each team’s final score.

Total available points per match = 9

In Football tournaments, a “draw” will be considered the correct outcome in any match if the score is tied at the end of regulation and extra time.

In the event, a Tournament match does not occur as scheduled (e.g., due to cancellation) no points will be awarded for that match.

Ties

In the event that more than one player has the same score at the completion of any leaderboard contest, the order of finish will be determined as follows:

First – the player with the closest total number of goals/points predicted for all of the matches during the contest period will be ranked higher.

Second – if there is still a tie(s), the player with the predictor card that was submitted at the earliest date and time will be ranked higher.

A “grand prize” of 1.000.000 ADA will be available during the contest. To win or share in this grand prize, you must have accurately predicted all of the winning teams, and the exact scores for all matches, within that contest period.

Lock Time

The system will "lock" at the scheduled deadline to prevent further pick submission. Entrant's picks must be submitted, received, and recorded by GamesLoyal two hours before the first match of the playing date starts, or as otherwise posted, in order to be counted. Selections submitted after the deadlines are considered invalid.

Cardano Gaming Platform

GamesLoyal is pleased to be able to offer a complete selection of games for many verticals: skill-based, casual, arcade-style, social, puzzle, games of chance, and sports-focused games.

This wide selection of games allows us to customize a suite of games exclusive to the CARDANO community that will prove to be exciting, engaging, and effective in meeting the objectives. It also provides us with the opportunity to quickly and easily introduce new games to ADA holders as often as we deem necessary to keep the overall offering fresh and attractive.

Games can be offered in several different modes; Free Play, meaning that members can play for free and have the opportunity to win Ada or prizes; or Real Play, using Ada to win Ada or prizes.

Our proposed model would have Cardano members playing with Ada only, (Ada = Game Credits), which will allow them to play in the future all of our games, and provide them with the opportunity to win real Ada.

We would further propose that the gaming platform is located on a fully branded site that we manage. For this purpose, we have secured the following suggested domain ww.PlayCardano.com. This site will contain all of the games that we select and will have additional content designed to help players understand how to play the games, as well as offer them special promotions and incentives. 

Our marketing team will also be able to provide any content regarding Cardano Technology and related services, as well as any promotions. New games will be added on a regular basis, replacing existing games, or adding to the overall library.

[IMPACT] How does your proposed solution address the challenge and what benefits will this bring to the Cardano ecosystem?

This challenge has a clear objective: a way for gamers to be onboarded into the Cardano ecosystem through the thing they love, gaming. This game will be played by Cardano members and non-Cardano gamers will join the ecosystem in order to be able to play and have a chance to win ADA or tokens.

As mentioned, our objective will be to deliver not only this game but also to adapt our gaming platform to Cardano's technology by integrating Ada as a payment method. This will allow us to charge and credit members in Adas and then become the preferred gaming destination for Ada holders where to have fun and win. This clearly addresses the challenge by adding a blockchain layer that integrates with existing games.

We are experienced in member acquisition programs and this challenge is exactly looking for this. We strongly believe this type of game is perfect to attract new users and increase loyalty, fast, easy, attractive.

It is important to understand that having the flexibility to change the Prize of the game can attract different audiences. E.g having Bitcoins as a prize can attract Bitcoin holders, putting concert tickets will attract music lovers, and having NBA memorabilia like a signed ball will attract basketball fans.

This is a proven strategy and our system can tailor and customize the game based on the audience we target.

Answer

We have a good technology team that in the past integrated our games with other currencies (miles and points) but we never integrated with a cryptocurrency directly, so we are not sure how fast or complete x this will be, but after talking to many tech members of the community we have already discussed some alternatives.

Probably an API integration to our check-out payment methods and crediting of ADA, but we also want to create a gaming token to be used in all the games we provide. Other than that we think we can execute the project with the tools we already have available.

There are a couple of things we will measure

Player Engagement: Analyze metrics related to player engagement, such as the number of cards per user, and player repetition.

Community Engagement: Evaluate the level of community engagement around the game. This can be measured through metrics such as active forums, and social media interactions.

We usually work with our technology team in Sprints, each of them is defined first and is adjusted on a weekly basis by grooming. We estimate we will need at least 12 developing sprints, or 3 months total to launch a customized fully functioning MVP.
