We want to create a simple website that references the existing pools and sort them by characteristics (climate, technological innovation…), with small descriptions as well as links to their website

It is just a website so it will be easy to look at it.

Cardano users might find it difficult to stake since they do not know much about the different SPOs, there are around 3500 of them and on any Cardano wallet (Lace, Yoroï) there is no information about the SPOs, they are just exposed on the platforms without further information, which is in our opinion a break to staking since it is hard to find basic and easily accessible information about the SPOs.

Our solution is to create a simple website that will classify all the SPOs according to their characteristics. For instance, we will organize all the climate related SPOs together, all the technology related ones together, and so on.

In addition to that, we will provide small descriptions about each SPO as well as links to their websites for the users to have easy access to the information.

In order to do that, we want to send a form to every Stake Pool by email (that we would find on their website) that would gather information about them, this would include :

• Small description of their SPO
• What are they aiming for (climate, NFTs…)
• How much ADA is staked in these
• Are they satisfied with our website ?
• What Should we do to improve it ?

In our opinion, this will bring a lot more users to start staking since the information on “where you put your money?” will be very clear and accessible for everyone.

To create this website, we will partner with a developer that will create the front-end and back-end of the website as well as the database. This is very important for us since we do not have much experience in this field and we want to make the best possible website.

For the marketing and advertising of the website, we have a few ideas in mind : 

• During the TownHall, present our website when finished for the community to start using and sharing it
• We will promote it to every Cardano Wallet (EMURGO, IOHK,...) in order for them to share a link of it

We believe that this project can be a really amazing SPO related initiative that will improve the Cardano Ecosystem.

Our solution will make it easier to understand and to choose where to stake. Staking is still a difficult thing to understand for new users and non-technical persons. Doing a website that is bringing them light on what it is, what impact it has, and why it could be interesting, would definitely allow the SPO community to grow as people would have more awareness of the advantages each one of the SPO has.

Moreover, the fact that we are doing it for the Cardano pools will lead the SPO community to have more interest in these pools, and to make the Cardano ecosystem more alive.

[CAPABILITY & FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

Creating this website does not need a lot of experience from us, we really want to make an easy and accessible website, it might just take some time to gather all the data from each of the 3500 SPOs.

Moreover, the resources needed for this project are not too difficult to manage, and we don’t rely on big collaborations that could be difficult to have. Therefore, we can be really confident about the feasibility of our solution, and have a big level of trust on our capabilities to succeed.

The accountability will only be on Google Analytics which is a good tool to analyze data from our website, and bring the outputs to the light.

Our development partner has developed multiple complex software applications and has experience in development on Cardano platform.

[Project Milestones] What are the key milestones you need to achieve in order to complete your project successfully?

Month 1-2 : 

• On a sheet, put all the Stake pools, their website and the email address that corresponds to it. As well as small info about what they do.
• Prepare the form for the SPOs to fill up
• Send it to the different SPOs on the email address we found on their website, through this form, we will also ask if the SPO is satisfied with our website (for the monthly sent forms, after the development of the website, not for the first).
• Check the SPOs that did not fill up the form so we can try and contact them again if we find another way (Telegram or another email)
• Review and adapt the resume sent by the SPOs through the forms to make it more suitable for the website.

=> A list of persons to contact, template for feedback and improvement, a resume of SPOs sent by them...

=> Acceptance : having a list of SPOs with a small description of them and contact sheets, having templates for the forms

Month 3-4 : 

• Developing the website with online form to submit and edit the SPO information
• Send the form again so we have some updated information
• Check if there are no new Stake Pools that came that we could add to our Database

=> showcase website, follow up on the form, renewance of the knowledge

Acceptance : having an open website that is searchable

Month 5 : 

• Continue sending the forms as well as looking for new Stake Pools
• Complete the development of website with view and sorting functionality with database
• Start marketing and advertising : 
• Contact Daniel Ribar to be a speaker during the TownHall (prepare a presentation)
• Have an after TownHall session to get some feedback and answer questions from the community
• Share our website on the main Telegram Group of Catalyst for the people to access it easily
• Promote it to the organizations that made the Cardano Wallets (IOHK, EMURGO…) in order for them to add a link to it on their respective platforms so it is really accessible to everyone.

=> A more complete website with integrated resume for each SPO, marketing plan started

=> Acceptance : the website correctly list small resume, marketing campaign has started to be implemented

Month 6-8 : 

• Continue sending the forms as well as looking for new Stake Pools
• Continue with advertising
• Take into consideration the feedback that we get in order to make some modifications to the website

=> more complete website, enhancement of it, marketing compaign fully implemented and ran

=> Acceptance : more SPOs are available than at month 6 start, presented feedbacks have been listened to and are implemented, marketing has been ran and collaborations within the Cardano community has been established

[RESOURCES] Who is in the project team and what are their roles?

Liâm Bodin is a 19 years-old student in the University of Geneva, passionate by use cases of blockchain technology. He's studying finance, and is working with Cointribune, the top 1 crypto media in France, as a Business Developer.

He has been reviewer in Fund 10.

His role :  will analyze and summarize the pools. He will also manage the work of the external developer, helping this person to adapt the website to the vision we had as a “dynamic and understandable” website.

In fund 8 helped to do the marketing for an art project

Staking is a really important part of Cardano and we think that by improving this situation, we could create much more impact than expected.
