[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution
About TBS: https://www.tbs-education.fr/tbs:
TBS education is one of the most influential business schools in France but also in Europe that is composed of 4 campuses: Toulouse (France), Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain) and Casablanca (Maroc).
Here are some of the diplomas followed by the students in TBS education: Bachelor in Management, Master in Management, Master of Science, Master of Business Administration, Aerospace MBA with a lot of entrepreneurship options.
The school is known to have one of the main objectives, sustainability and making a positive impact, so the people are more likely to support and be involved in organisations like Cardano that will help them to build some skills and to have a meaningful impact on many important topics.
The project:
Organise a set of presentations sessions about blockchain technology and Cardano to students from BIM to MIM and MSc of TBS education.
The project will include 8 major in person presentations (1 for Bachelors and 1 for Masters in each campus: Barcelona, Toulouse, Paris and Casablanca) in the 3 languages available in the different campuses (French, English and Spanish) and will reach more than 5000 students. We consider these live presentations crucial for the project’s success, as they serve as a means to attract students to enrol in the workshops. With the assistance of Joanna Pousset, an esteemed economics teacher at TBS education’s Barcelona campus and an expert in social influence, we will deliver compelling, motivational presentations designed to captivate and inspire students to participate.
Then, we will offer, for the ones that are interested, a free complete course in the format of workshops about Blockchain, Cardano and Catalyst giving them a guideline and helping them write proposals for the next fund.
In the campus of Barcelona, we will do in-person group workshops to follow their apprenticeship. For the other campuses, we will do the workshops by zoom. The sessions can be multi-languages depending on the students.
We will also do a bi-weekly open hour zoom meeting for questions and support needed.
Part of the support will be to connect to relevant information, sources, discuss use cases, ideas and support in presenting in project catalyst fund 13.
TBS and blockchain:
There are limited exposures to blockchain in the school. However, the management understands the need to incorporate blockchain and one of the team is now starting to evaluate the subject. This is why they are keen to collaborate with this project.
The students themselves are coming from around the world and they have limited to 0 knowledge about blockchain and Cardano. However, they are, as are part of the core values of the school, engaged in sustainability, making a positive impact and entrepreneurship, values that they share with the Cardano community.
We believe that implementing Catalyst to this school could be awesome to give the students an opportunity to express their ideas and to be part of what the future will be about. Moreover, this will give them the knowledge and the experience that they would have never been taught in a business school.
[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
The project’s positive impact on the Cardano community is multifaceted and significant:
- Increased awareness: by presenting to over 5000 students across 4 campuses, the project will significantly raise awareness about Cardano and blockchain technology among young people who have limited exposure to these concepts. This will expand the Cardano community by attracting new young skilled members interested in sustainability, entrepreneurship and making a positive impact.
- Education and skill development: offering free workshops about Blockchain, Cardano, and Catalyst will provide valuable education and skills to students. By empowering them with knowledge and resources, the project will enable students to become active participants in the Cardano community and contribute meaningfully to its growth and development.
- Community engagement and support: The bi-monthly open hour zoom meetings and ongoing support provided by the project will foster a sense of community among students interested in Cardano. This support network will encourage collaboration, idea-sharing, and mutual assistance, strengthening the bonds within the Cardano community and facilitating collective learning and growth.
- Integration with TBS Education: Collaborating with TBS Education, a prestigious international business school with a focus on sustainability, impact, and entrepreneurship, will further enhance the project’s impact. By aligning with Cardano’s values and objective, the project will gain institutional support and credibility, increasing its reach and effectiveness in engaging students.
- Promotion of Catalyst participation: Encouraging students to write proposals for Project Catalyst Fund 13 and beyond will not only empower them to contribute their ideas and insights but also enrich the Cardano ecosystem with diverse perspectives and innovative projects. This will foster innovation and creativity within the community and contribute to the realisation of Cardano’s long-term goals and objectives.
Few numbers:
- About 5600 business students will learn about Cardano and blockchain technology.
- At least 100 students implicated in Fund 13.
- At least 100 students will open an ADA wallet.
- 13,3K subscribers to the TBS education Youtube channel in which a video talking about the project will be posted, ensuring more visibility and credibility to the project and to Cardano.
Overall, the project will play a crucial role in expanding the Cardano community, educating and empowering students, fostering community engagement and support, and promoting participation in Project Catalyst, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of the Cardano ecosystem.
To prove the impact:
- A video resuming the process (presentations, workshops etc.) that will be uploaded in the proposal page on the Cardano website.
- A face-cam video or an interview about the process that will be uploaded in the TBS youtube channel (13,3K subscribers) and on the proposal page on the Cardano website.
- An excel file with all the students that subscribe to the workshops.
- An excel file with all the Catalyst proposals submitted by TBS students during the fund 13.
[CAPABILITY & FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
The support of the university to the project makes it highly probable to be delivered successfully.
The project was presented to and approved by Ryan Donno, international student coordinator in TBS Barcelona. Ryan supports connecting between my project and the university management and in the various campuses.
Joanna Pousset, a professor of Economics in the university and expert in social influence was assigned to support with content creation, coordination with the professors in the various campuses and with the actual presentation
It was very encouraging to have the support and collaboration by the school director. It shows that I am in the right school that is open for the future. They saw my motivation and my daily implication in the school and decided to trust me and Benjamin and support us on this project.
As international students from diverse backgrounds, studying in different countries and languages, we bring a unique perspective to our work. Anna Ben Zvi, currently pursuing her studies in International Business Management at a Barcelona-based school, demonstrates exceptional leadership as the President of the school's basketball club and as a member of the finance club. Her accolades, including recognition as the most inspiring student within her school and her active involvement in Fund 11 and 12, underscore her dedication to community engagement. Fluent in four languages and proficient in two more, Anna's linguistic abilities enable her to connect with a broad audience across linguistic barriers.
Similarly, Benjamin Ben Zvi, pursuing his Bachelor's degree in International Business in France, has enriched his academic journey with international experiences, including a semester exchange at the City University of Hong Kong. As a participant in Fund 9, 10, and 11, with two founded proposals focusing on universities and student initiatives, Benjamin has demonstrated his commitment to advancing community-driven projects. Fluent in four languages and with a grasp of three more, Benjamin's multicultural background and linguistic skills align perfectly with our project's global outreach goals. Together, Anna and Benjamin's diverse experiences, linguistic fluency, and active involvement in the Cardano community lay a strong foundation for the success of our workshops and the global project.
We understand the opportunity that Cardano can give to change the world and to have a real impact. Our goal is to try to reach as many students as possible, since we are students ourselves and since we are concerned about the lack of knowledge the students have in this area.
We will also connect the students to resources available on Cardano to learn more such as the Cardano foundation academy where students could find free courses to better understand the system and opportunities.
