Most LATAM people have heard about crypto, but few know Cardano's potential to solve issues in developing countries. Content on social media helps promote Cardano adoption.
This is the total amount allocated to Educational content in Spanish for Latin Americans.
Maria Jose Trujillo
Isabella Duque
Nicole Franco
Valentina Correa
Create easy-to-consume yet educational content about blockchain in Spanish, focusing on Latin Americans, to educate them about Cardano and Project Catalyst.
No dependencies
Everything made by this proposal is fully open source and free to use by everyone.
The ATH (All-Time High) that Bitcoin reached in 2021 made cryptocurrencies a popular topic in Latin America. News outlets and newspapers were flooded with stories of people getting rich with crypto, which allowed Latin Americans their first exposure to blockchain technology—and to this day, it remains the only aspect they are familiar with. This is why Cardano should focus more on regions like LATAM through promotion and education. A great way to do this is via social media, aiming for more people to discover the benefits of blockchain beyond just cryptocurrencies.
For Fund 11, with the funded proposal “Latin America Onboarding, Education, and Social Media,” and Fund 12 with the proposal “Spanish Content for Social Media, Onboarding, and Education,” our plan has been developing with a unique approach: educational and informative videos and posts that can be consumed in just one or two minutes. Additionally, all our posts are designed to be colorful, eye-catching, informative, and sometimes humorous. Most importantly, they stay rooted in basic concepts, as they are created with the understanding that the audience may have little to no knowledge of blockchain.
Thanks to developing content across social media for over three months, we’ve been able to analyze which platforms have the greatest impact on people, aiming to leverage them further in the proposal presented for Fund 13.
Instagram Content: Most crypto information and discussions currently occur on Twitter and Reddit without much focus on Instagram. Therefore, it makes sense to create a Twitter to reach people interested in cryptocurrencies. However, this approach is flawed as most people who are currently not interested in cryptocurrencies spend their time on other social networks such as Instagram. If we want to attract new people to the ecosystem, we need to go to the places where they are and not wait for them to come to us. For this reason, I want to continue this social network by creating posts, stories and reels about Cardano, Project Catalyst and blockchain technology with the goal of raising people's awareness and increasing interest and participation in Cardano. On Instagram we have been able to observe new people who are not on Twitter and who are also interested in blockchain.
TikTok Videos: the way content is displayed on TikTok is incredible, there are millions and millions of views that can be reached very quickly, this is why I believe that TikTok has great potential to reach a new audience with marketing strategies following trends viral of the moment.
YouTube Content: YouTube is a very popular resource for people interested in crypto. And while we currently have several great options for content in English, there are not a sufficient number of options for people who speak Spanish. Therefore, we will also continue with dedicated YouTube channel for creating content in Spanish.
X: developed the projects that have been funded, we noticed that the crypto community in X with content in Spanish is very small and even people from LATAM manage their X in English, for this reason we also believe it is valuable to have content in Spanish on this platform for people who are already within the Cardano ecosystem but have the language barrier.
Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X will focus on these main areas:
Project Catalyst
a. Posts, stories, and reels that teach and explain what project Catalyst is.
b. Announcements of upcoming Project Catalyst rounds to keep people informed of when they can participate, vote, submit, etc.
c. Information on getting more involved with Catalyst, from joining the town halls to participating as a Community Assessor.
Cardano
a. What is Cardano? What are its strengths and what sets it apart from other blockchain technology.
b. News and development updates. Create posts and content discussing recent developments in the ecosystem.
c. Project discussions. Highlighting different projects in the ecosystem to give people a better idea of who is building on Cardano and what different products are available or soon to be released.
Blockchain/Crypto
a. What is blockchain and cryptocurrency? This portion will be focused on a total beginner. Explaining basic concepts so people can become more familiar and interested in the industry as a whole.
In what way will the success of your project bring value to the Cardano Community?
In reality, the impact of this proposal will be similar to that of the proposal financed in the previous fund. Here is a breakdown of the Latin American Market that we will be reaching and how it can have a huge impact on the success of Cardano and all products being built on Cardano.
The population of Latin America is 665,798,433. This is equal to 8.28% of the total world population. The % of the population over 14 years old without a bank account is 42.7% This is 100s of Millions of people who can benefit from liqwidfinance & others.
Credit card use is super low here. Only around 1/5 of the population own a credit card, even more in a country like Colombia. Other types of payments have become necessary here. Here you can see a map of some of the most popular payment methods in LATAM. See how each country is using their own methods
This is the perfect environment for crypto adoption. A population that is already used to electronic payments, that credit card companies ignore and would benefit from one similar system across the region. Products likemichaelw COTInetwork or MehenOfficial or others would be perfect. Even with lack of credit cards, electronic commerce is growing. With growth of 30% estimated each year until 2025. And with few credit cards and very different banking options, crypto is an obvious choice with many benefits
In LATAM emigrants are close to 10 percent of the population, compared with about 2 percent, on average, worldwide for developing economies. They send large amounts of money, averaging about 6% of GDP, to support family members back home (IMF).
'
How will you share the outputs and opportunities that result from your project?
The majority of the content that we create and share will be in the Spanish language and tailored specifically to Latinos. We believe that this is a very important yet overlooked market for crypto adoption and so creating educational and informational content and materials for it is important.
Anyone who has spent any amount of time in the Cardano ecosystem has noticed that there are many more men here than women. This is not anyones fault, and we have a lot of great men here. But to not try and bring in 50% of the population that has not had much interest so far is crazy. Our team consists of all women. The content and videos that we make show women discussing Cardano and blockchain overall. When other women see this, it can inspire them to get involved because they see someone who is already like them involved with it. We will be active and passionate members of the ecosystem who are always there to chat and answer questions and encourage more women to enter this space.
Those of us involved in the ecosystem on X (formerly Twitter) have witnessed the incredible reach of the #CardanoGirls trend, in which we are participants. This makes us firmly believe that the women of Cardano have the potential to significantly promote the ecosystem both externally and even across other blockchains.
This project is aimed at the younger generation who is currently in primary/secondary school or University. Our team is from this same demographic so we are able to "speak their language". Im sure you can imagine that it is easier for someones peers to get them interested in a subject than a group of people from completely different generations. Through the content we make we hope to bring many new young people into the ecosystem.
How will you measure this impact?
Here I am listing my overall goals for what I hope to accomplish with my project and what value I think this will bring to Cardano. Please note these are all at a very high level to show the direction I am trying to take this project and what I hope to accomplish. I have provided clear descriptions of how I believe the goals of my project should be measured and considered.
TikTok Videos
Each video on our Tiktok (@CardisaLatina) has on average a little more than 300 views, that means that we are on the right track in accordance with our proposal of fund 12, we would love for this proposal to reach more than 1000 views on our videos
Goal is 6 per month, 36 total for the proposal.
Budget: Each video takes about 6 hours to write the material, shoot the video, edit it, post it, and field and comments or questions that arise after it is posted. 36 hours per month.
Youtube Videos Created
We will post our monthly YouTube videos that provide valuable information about the Cardano ecosystem. It can be information about recent developments for Cardano projects, updates for Cardano itself, updates and information about Catalyst. Information on Catalyst deadlines, how to apply, how to be a CA. You can also take content from other popular content creators (with their permission) and translate it into Spanish to reach a broader audience and benefit people who only speak Spanish and therefore won't be able to interact with the English content.
The goal is 2 per month, 12 total for the proposal.
Budget: Each video takes about 15 hours to write the material, film the video, edit it, publish it and fill out any comments or questions that arise after its publication. 30 hours per month.
Youtube Video views
Currently, the YouTube channel in two months of work has 96 subscribers and an average of 93 views, So we are on the right track. We continue to stick to the goal that at the end of the project some videos have more that 200 views
X
X is a strong medium for sharing crypto information and updates. We plan to share the content we create on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok through X to increase their exposure and allow the maximum number of people to benefit from them. Also in X we publish current content on Cardano, we retweet relevant content from the main information accounts on Cardano, often with a summary in Spanish. Our goal for the next 6 months will be to get 3000 Twitter followers.
X Posts
Goal is 7 per week, 28 per month, 168 total for the proposal.
Making regular Instagram posts is crucial as this type of social media is consumed by younger people in shorter intervals and more frequently than other media such as television that is used to 1 episode a week. In order to stay relevant and draw new people in, it is important to have daily posts. Therefore the goal will be to have daily Posts on IG, as we have already been working.
Goal is 1 per day, 7 per week, 30 per month, 180 total for the proposal.
Some posts are more creative or involved than others. Some may only take a few minutes to think about and post while others could take an hour or two of research and thought to draft and post.
Budget: 1 hour per day spent creating posts and responding to any comments or questions. 7 Hours per week total, 28 hours per month.
This social network is one of those that requires the most graphic editing work, where educational content, short videos and stories with links to important information are published every day. However, when we started the previous projects we did not think that growing followers would be so difficult, so we must have a realistic goal of reaching 1,500 followers or reaching more than 1,000 views on the reels. Finally, if people see the content, even if they are not Instagram followers, that is what is really important.
Instagram Stories
As mentioned above, posting regular content on Instagram is crucial. Stories are just as popular, if not Moreso, than posts.
Goal is 7 per week, 28 per month, 168 total for the proposal.
Some posts are more creative or involved than others. Some may only take a few minutes to think about and post while others could take an hour or two of research, recording and thought to draft and post.
Budget: 30 minutes per day spent creating Stories and responding to any comments or questions. 14 hours per month.
Project Administration
Creating a proposal through Catalyst has some requirements that must be met. We have to attend meetings in order to stay informed on what is going on and any changes. We must submit monthly reports and share our milestones, we must create closing reports and videos when it is complete. We must distribute funds to our team members and properly do out accounting. This all requires time and energy that we are budgeting for and creating KPIs to meet.
Goal is to meet all deadlines on time. All monthly reports, milestones, and submitting closing documents timely.
We have been developing @CardisaLatina on different social networks for more than 6 months, little by little the Cardano community has been recognizing and supporting us.We recognize we are a newer team in Cardano. But we were funded in F11 also F12 and so far have met every milestone and deadline that we set for ourselves. We have been extremely committed to delivering on our promises and have produced quality content exactly as promised and always on schedule. We have also read and considered all of the constructive feedback provided to us in our proposal reviews, as well as constructive criticism from people in the Cardano community.
We hope that this helps provide some evidence that we are capable of continuing to do this work and that our plan is feasible.
Hardworking Team: We are not afraid of hard work and will do everything it takes to get the job done. We go or went to school, got good grades, and maintained jobs as well. We hope that this demonstrates that we are hard workers who are not afraid to put in a lot of hours and can multi-task.
Modest Funds Requested: We have lots of cool ideas for how this project can develop and grow over time. But instead of starting with some huge proposals for hundreds of thousands of ADA, we are starting with something very easy and straightforward. The hope is that we can demonstrate our trust and capability here and build on that trust in the future.
Our Pride: This project, comprised only by young latin american women, is an opportunity towards female empowerment and women's autonomy. It is an opportunity to bring more women and latinos into the ecosystem which we take very seriously. For us to take the funds and not deliver, it is a very bad look for other women who want to enter this space and for our countrymen as well. Because of this, we are committed to being good stewards of the funds, because we do not want to let down the people that we represent.
Realiable equipment: We want to have the opportunity to demonstrate how responsible we are as a team. We know that ecosystem resources are precious and limited, for this reason it is necessary that they be well managed, efficiently.
We commit to delivering payment receipts for the material tools that we are requesting for the project, the advertising that is paid for and/or materials that are purchased at the time of the university meetings. Regarding work hours, you can keep an Excel document documenting the hours and days worked, as well as evidence to prove it.
Launch project and complete 1 month of deliverables.
This is to start the project. It means that the project was successfully voted on and funded. All new social media accounts will be set up and ready to go and those currently operational will continue as normal.
Results: The results of this first will deliver the first month of content that I described in the previous solutions section.

We read all 65 comments we received for Fund 12, and fortunately, most of them are positive. The most common criticism had two main focuses. The first was about the team, as our work and capabilities were not well known. However, with the content now published across social media, we've demonstrated that we can successfully develop all the proposed milestones and still have a lot of potential. We are making progress in expanding social media reach, creating different activities to boost engagement, and ensuring our posts reach more users. The second focus was on the budget, which we will address in the BUDGET & COSTS section.

The second criticism we received was about the budget. Some comments indicate that the subscription part is not very clear, but I recommend going directly to the platforms so that you as a reviewer can rectify the prices. Other comments also questioned whether the requested money would be enough to develop the entire project. Unfortunately, for F12, the ADA price set was higher than the price at which the proposal has been developed, which is why some of the social networks have not purchased the premium subscription. For this proposal, we will set an ADA price more in line with what we have been seeing in recent months, so that we do not have any problems with the development of the project.
Labor
We have first broken down the labor for each of our main deliverables in hours. These hours will be used below to calculate a proper and fair budget.
As we have developed our project, the Cardano women working on it have grown from three to five members, which make the hours reasonable for each week and month.
Project Administration
Goal is to meet all deadlines on time. All monthly reports, milestones, and submitting closing documents timely.
Budget: We are budgeting 10 hours per month for these tasks. 60 hours for the total 6 month proposal.
Tiktok
Goal is 6 month, 36 total for the proposal.
Budget: We estimate each video takes about 10 hours to write the material, shoot the video, edit it, post it, and field and comments or questions that arise after it is posted. Our concept is to focus on short and direct to the point content which may seem like it would be cheaper. But it takes a lot of effort to write and shoot material quickly and in an entertaining way that people will actually learn from and remember. 360 hours for the total 6 month proposal.
Youtube
Goal is 2 month, 12 total for the proposal.
Budget: We estimate each video takes about 20 hours to write the material, shoot the video, edit it, post it, and field and comments or questions that arise after it is posted. Our concept is to focus on short and direct to the point content which may seem like it would be cheaper. But it takes a lot of effort to write and shoot material quickly and in an entertaining way that people will actually learn from and remember. Also for this proposal we will seek to interview people who contribute enormously to the community and always have something good to contribute and say. 240 hours for the total 6 month proposal.
Instagram Posts
Goal is 7 per week, 28 per month, 168 total for the proposal.
Some posts are more creative or involved than others. Some may only take a few minutes to think of and post while others could take an hour or two of research and thought to draft and post. It is also important to spend time each day interacting with people about their posts.
Budget: 1 hour per day spent creating posts, responding to any comments or questions, and interacting with people about Cardano. 7 Hours per week total, 28 hours per month. 168 hours for the total 6 month proposal.

In order to grow the account we will want to advertise. This would not utilize bots, it would be having a paid story or promotion by other popular social media account.
Budget: 1000 USD
One way to promote and onboard more people into Cardano is by gifting completely new users their first ADAs. This approach encourages people to create their wallet and become more involved in the ecosystem, beyond just focusing on ADA’s current price, but also understanding the governance power that comes with holding ADA. We can even encourage participation in Project Catalyst, especially since only 25 ADA is now required to become a voter. I believe this is an excellent way for more people to get closer to Cardano. The ADA distribution will be done through giveaways, either by correctly answering questions about the ecosystem or by actively participating in Cardano’s social media channels.
Budget: $1000 ADAs
We find it necessary to pay for verification on all social media accounts.
Instagram: $14.99 per moth, 90 in total
Twitter: 16 pcs per moth, 96 in total
Total verification and premium social media = 186 dollars
Total hours per 6 months = 1020
Hourly Rate = 6 dollars per hour
Total requested for hours = 6120 dollars total
Equipement
We have received constructive criticism indicating that we need to improve the lighting in our videos, which is why it is necessary to invest in LED lighting.
Bugget: 50 dollars
Total Budget Amount (in Dollars) = 1000 +186 + 6120 + 50 = 7356 Dollars
We are using a conversation rate of 0.32 which is a bit lower than it currently is. But we have made this budget vary carefully and would have a lot of difficulty if the price of ADA dropped much from here. We hope this is fair to the community and fair to our team.
Total Budget Amount (in ADA) = ($7356/.32) plus 1000 ADA = 23.988 ADA
Our team believes that we are providing a great deal of value and content for the money that we are requesting. We will break down why for you here.
Hourly Rate: Our proposal has outlined in detail that we plan to provide 170 hours of labor per month on this proposal. This would be 1020 hours for the entire 6 months that this covers. We are doing it at a labor rate of 6 dollars an hour. This would be on the extreme low end for people who come from western countries, but in Colombia where we work it is a very fair salary that ensures that quality work will be done. After scanning through many other proposals this round, we believe that this rate is extremely competitive and provides a great value for what we will provide.
Five People Working: This proposal is for 5 people's work, not just one. Similarly to the point above, it would be difficult to hire 5 people for 1000 dollars per month in many places in the world but here it is possible. The minimum wage here in Colombia is 1,300,606 COP which is about 325 USD. So the amount that we are requesting is about a minimum wage per person.
Lower Amount Requested: The maximum amount anyone can request for this challenge is 100.000. Therefore, we have seen that many people are requesting this amount or right around this amount. We calculated exactly what we expect to need for the proposal and it is about 0.47% percent of the total. We think this is fair because it allows more projects to get funding in this category and we are not being wasteful or requesting anything more than we might need.
We hope that explains why the cost and amounts included in our budget are fair. We also hope that we have explained the value that something like this project will bring properly throughout our proposal.
