[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution
Rate-Your-World (RYW) will develop and launch a blockchain-based platform for tokenized real-world assets, starting with a focus on stable-value assets such as classic cars, diamonds, and classic art. We will take a phased approach to ensure the project is executed efficiently and sustainably.
What We WILL Do:
- Build the platform's MVP (Minimum Viable Product) within 8-10 months:
Utilizing Cardano blockchain technology, we will design a secure, decentralized platform for tokenizing real-world assets. The architecture will leverage smart contracts to fractionalize assets and create asset-backed tokens/ NFTs. These NFTs can be bought and sold within our ecosystem, allowing users to easily invest in fractional ownership of stable-value assets. The system will ensure transparency and immutability using Cardano's smart contracts. We will prioritize scalability and security to support long-term growth.
We have a collective approach: users become members of the association RYW by investing. Real-world assets are owned and managed (storage, maintenance) by the association. Fractions of these assets are internally linked to the invested member using the above-mentioned NFTs that can be exchanged on Cardano. To be able to offer our investors an optimal portfolio, the association will choose which asset to tokenize, members will have a saying in the process.
- Establish partnerships with asset holders:
To ensure a diverse and valuable collection of assets, we will partner with collectors, museums, and galleries to tokenize their assets on our platform. This will require vetting processes, asset verification, and valuation systems to ensure the authenticity and worth of each tokenized asset. To this end, we work with established auditors/ certifiers.
- Enable users to invest in fractional ownership:
Our platform will allow users to invest in fractional ownership of real-world assets by purchasing NFTs backed by these assets. Smart contracts will ensure that token transactions are secure, auditable, and immutable. A built-in marketplace will facilitate the buying, selling, and trading of these tokens, while adhering to legal regulations regarding ownership, tax, and compliance.
- Create an educational campaign to onboard users:
We will develop an onboarding program, ensuring that both technical and non-technical users understand the benefits of investing in tokenized real assets. Through a combination of webinars, explainer videos, and documentation, we will explain how fractional ownership works, the security of the blockchain, and the simplicity of managing their investments via our platform.
We will collaborate with service providers to store our tokenized assets securely. This includes insured, climate-controlled storage for classic cars and art, ensuring their preservation. We are also considering the potential of opening a physical museum in the future where these assets can be viewed, adding value for both investors and the public.
What We MIGHT Do:
- Depending on the success of the MVP and user feedback, we might expand into additional asset categories (e.g., wine collections, rare watches).
- We may explore additional blockchain integrations or partnerships with other platforms, though this will depend on future needs and market conditions.
What We WILL NOT Do:
- The real assets will not be physically usable for investors. They will also not be sublet for use to third parties.
- We will not rush into expansion until we have a solid base and user adoption for the initial tokenized assets.
- It will not be possible for users to tokenize their assets permissionless.
This structured, step-by-step approach will allow us to deliver on our promises while remaining adaptable to the evolving market and user needs.
[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
The Rate-Your-World (RYW) project will contribute significantly to the growth and expansion of the Cardano ecosystem in two key areas: general ecosystem development and addressing specific needs for institutional adoption.
Addressing Specific Systemic Needs: Institutional Adoption
- Institutional Adoption as a Game-Changer: At the heart of RYW’s platform is the goal to secure partnerships with institutional custodians of valuable assets, such as museums, collectors, and galleries. These entities require strict legal, accounting, and compliance frameworks, and by creating an ecosystem that seamlessly integrates with these requirements, RYW can pave the way for widespread institutional adoption of the Cardano blockchain. This has the potential to transform Cardano into a leader in secure, compliant tokenization of real-world assets, enhancing the network’s legitimacy and increasing its global utility.
- Bridging Institutional Partners: By building relationships with asset custodians, RYW opens the door to institutions that have historically been resistant to blockchain technology. Integrating these players not only validates Cardano's technology in a regulated market but also expands its user base to new, high-value stakeholders.
This institutional-first approach is what sets RYW apart, making it a pivotal catalyst for Cardano's future growth in tokenized real-world assets.
General Ecosystem Growth:
- Attracting New Users: RYW’s platform for tokenized real-world assets (classic cars, diamonds, fine art) will draw a new demographic—investors, collectors, and enthusiasts—who may not have previously engaged with Cardano or blockchain. Through targeted marketing to tech-savvy collectors and pure financial investors, we offer a valuable option for diversifying investments. Tokenized real assets provide stability compared to volatile coins and tokens, appealing to those wary of traditional crypto. This onboarding of new users will boost Cardano’s adoption, increasing transaction volume and use of ADA and Cardano-based tokens.
- New Financial Primitives: Tokenizing physical assets will create new financial primitives and DeFi opportunities on Cardano, such as loans backed by tokenized real-world assets or yield-generating investment opportunities. These mechanisms will broaden the financial utility of Cardano, making it more attractive to both developers and investors.
- Ecosystem Development: As users and institutional partners engage with tokenized real assets on Cardano, demand for smart contracts, token creation, and blockchain services will increase. This will drive more developers to build DApps and tools that enhance the ecosystem. Potential collaborations for RYW include NFT minters, marketplaces, payment and wallet integrations, lending platforms, security audits, storage solutions, cross-chain bridges, price trackers, promoters (YouTube, etc.), IRL meetups, insurers, identity verifiers, and future token listings on DEXes and CEXes.
By combining increased user adoption with institutional and financial innovation, RYW will contribute directly to the broader growth of the Cardano ecosystem, both in the near and long term.
Measuring Impact:
RYW will implement a comprehensive impact measurement framework that captures both quantitative and qualitative metrics. This framework will help assess the project's success in expanding the Cardano ecosystem and driving institutional adoption.
- Quantitative Metrics:
- User Onboarding: We will track the number of new users and investors on our platform, with a focus on unique wallets interacting with tokenized real-world assets.
- Transaction Volume: We will monitor the number of transactions involving tokenized assets, both primary and secondary sales. This includes tracking ADA usage and volume of fractionalized assets sold on our platform.
- Partnerships Secured: The number of partnerships formed with asset custodians, including museums, collectors, and galleries, will be a key indicator of institutional engagement.
- Tokenized Asset Value: We will measure the total value of tokenized real-world assets listed on the platform over time, with an initial goal of USD 10M worth of assets within the first five years.
- Ecosystem Activity: We will track interactions with Cardano-based DApps, smart contracts deployed, and collaborations with existing ecosystem projects like NFT marketplaces and DeFi platforms.
- Qualitative Metrics:
- User Feedback: We will gather feedback from investors and asset custodians on the platform’s usability, security, and overall experience. Surveys and interviews will help us understand user sentiment.
- Institutional Engagement: Qualitative insights will be gained through ongoing discussions with institutional partners. These insights will help us refine our offering and ensure it meets their compliance and legal needs.
- Community Involvement: Active engagement with the Cardano and RYW communities, including online forums, social media, and IRL meetups, will be measured to ensure that we’re fostering strong community ties.
Sharing Outputs and Opportunities:
- Public Reporting:
- We will share quarterly reports detailing the progress of the project. These reports will include the number of assets tokenized, transaction volume, user onboarding metrics, and new institutional partnerships. Reports will be shared on our website, Cardano forums, and through our social media channels.
- Open-Source Contribution:
- Technical outputs, such as smart contract designs and documentation for tokenized assets, will be made available as open-source resources for the Cardano community. This ensures that developers can build on our work, fostering collaboration across the ecosystem.
- Partnership Announcements:
- As we secure institutional partnerships, we will announce these collaborations via press releases, blog posts, and media interviews. This transparency will help build trust within the Cardano community and encourage further institutional interest in the blockchain.
- Educational Resources:
- We will produce educational content, including Medium articles, YouTube videos, and presentations at industry conferences, to explain the benefits of tokenizing real-world assets. These materials will target both institutional partners and individual users, helping to drive further adoption.
By systematically measuring our impact and openly sharing our outputs and learnings, RYW will contribute to the long-term growth of the Cardano ecosystem and set the stage for even greater institutional adoption.
[CAPABILITY & FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
We follow a structured, multi-phase validation strategy:
1. Pilot Project:
- Start Small: We will begin by tokenizing a specific, well-defined asset like a classic car. This asset should be easy to appraise, tokenize, and manage. The choice of a smaller asset reduces risks and allows for a controlled test environment.
- Test Functionality: This pilot is used to evaluate key elements of the process—smart contract functionality, asset valuation methods, legal compliance, and the efficiency of fractional ownership through tokenization.
2. Stakeholder Feedback:
- Collector & Enthusiast Engagement: We’ll work closely with collectors, enthusiasts, and potential buyers of tokenized assets to gather feedback on how easy it is to access the platform, purchase tokens, and track the asset’s value over time.
- Institutional Partnerships: Engagement with potential institutional partners (museums, auction houses, galleries) to assess their interest in participating, as well as the legal and logistical requirements for asset custody and management.
3. Legal & Compliance Testing:
- Jurisdictional Review: Close work with legal experts to navigate the regulatory landscape. This includes ensuring our tokenized assets comply with securities laws, tax regulations, and ownership rights. Different jurisdictions may have unique challenges that need to be addressed.
- Proof of Custody: Clear and secure custody solutions for tokenized assets, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks that govern asset ownership and fractional shares.
4. Blockchain Integration Validation:
- Smart Contract Testing: Evaluation of how well the smart contracts handle fractional ownership, asset transfers, and payment settlements on the blockchain. This includes verifying the transparency and security of transactions on the Cardano network.
- Token Issuance & Exchange: Testing the creation and management of asset-backed tokens, as well as the transactions of these tokens on secondary markets. Ensure that users can buy, sell, or hold these tokens easily without complex barriers to entry.
5. Security and Storage Solutions:
- Asset Safeguarding: Ensure the physical storage of tokenized assets (e.g., classic cars) is handled by trusted custodians, with adequate insurance and protection. Demonstrate how secure the assets are, both physically and digitally.
- Blockchain Security: Validation of the security of blockchain transactions and the safeguarding of ownership rights through decentralized mechanisms.
6. Financial Viability:
- Revenue Model Validation: Testing the platform’s ability to generate revenue through fees, token sales, or other monetization methods (e.g., fractional dividends on profits from asset appreciation).
- Investor Interest: Measuring investor demand by offering initial tokens during the pilot. Tracking the ease of participation for smaller investors and their participation in being ambassadors of the project.
- Financiers’ Interest: Measuring demand by contacting funders and testing their interest in financing the acquisition of additional real assets for tokenization.
7. Scalability Potential:
- Pilot Learnings: After the pilot, a clear evaluation of what worked well and where bottlenecks occurred. This will help identify areas for improvement before scaling up to larger, more complex assets.
- Technical Scalability: Assessment whether the platform can handle a larger number of assets and users without compromising performance or security.
8. Market Validation:
- Real-world Demand: Gauge market demand through partnerships with asset custodians and through user adoption metrics. Ensurement there’s sufficient interest in fractional ownership of assets like classic cars, art, or other collectibles.
- Broader Asset Classes: After a successful pilot, research on tokenizing other asset classes (e.g., fine art, rare collectibles, real estate) to confirm the model’s scalability across different asset types.
By following these steps, we can systematically test our platform’s feasibility while addressing legal, technical, and market considerations. This validation process will provide crucial insights into the strengths and weaknesses of our approach, helping us make data-driven adjustments before scaling.

[VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?
The Rate-Your-World (RYW) project offers exceptional value for the Cardano ecosystem by delivering high-impact outcomes for a modest investment of 120,000 ADA. Here's why:
- High Impact for Community Growth
Our platform will onboard at least 500 new users within the first 6 months, specifically attracting collectors, investors, and museums. This increases Cardano’s daily transaction volume, contributing to Cardano's overall network growth and adoption. By bringing real-world assets (RWAs) like classic cars and art onto the blockchain, we unlock new user segments, diversifying Cardano's reach beyond DeFi and NFTs.
If each fractional NFT sale generates 0.6 ADA for the Cardano community, after 200,000 transactions, the platform will have generated 120,000 ADA in revenue, making it self-sustaining. With each fractional NFT priced at around $50, we would need to tokenize and sell real assets worth $10,000,000—a feasible target within 5 years. This estimate doesn't even account for secondary sales or the broader positive impact on the Cardano ecosystem, highlighting the platform's potential for long-term growth and sustainability.
- Democratizing Real Asset Investment
Previously, high-value assets like classic cars, diamonds, and fine art were accessible only to wealthy investors. With RYW, we make these assets accessible to mid-market investors globally. A single car worth $500,000 could be tokenized into 10,000 fractional ownership tokens, each worth $50—making the investment accessible for everyone.
- Scalable Platform with Real-World Utility
Our initial budget will create a platform that can be expanded without further significant investment. After the initial tokenization of the first asset, additional assets can be added at 80% less cost per asset (compared to building a new system for each). This low marginal cost enables the platform to grow and tokenize various assets continuously, generating consistent fees that contribute to Cardano’s transaction volume and overall economic model.
- Global Reach and Museum Engagement
We expect to establish at least 3 partnerships with institutions or museums in asset-rich regions like Switzerland and Istanbul. Engaging museums not only brings more valuable assets onto the Cardano blockchain, but also acts as an on-ramp for institutional adoption, securing long-term use of Cardano for asset management and tokenization.
- Cost-Effective Use of Resources
- Platform Development: With 30,000 ADA allocated, our development cost per feature is lower than industry benchmarks. Leveraging open-source technology, we reduce costs by 20-30% compared to building from scratch.
- Marketing: A targeted campaign with 20,000 ADA will focus on niche audiences, generating 500+ early adopters and yielding 100 token sales within the first few months, resulting in 20% cost efficiency per user acquisition versus broad campaigns.
- Legal & Compliance: By using standardized contracts and legal templates, we keep legal costs down by 30%, compared to custom legal work.
- Long-Term Value for Cardano
With a modest initial investment of 120,000 ADA, RYW has the potential to contribute to Cardano’s ecosystem by driving ongoing transaction fees through the tokenization of multiple asset classes. This opens up a sustainable, high-value revenue stream for Cardano, positioning it as the leading blockchain for tokenized real-world assets.
