Offset Ada's transactional energy use with an plugin that diverts a % of that transaction towards a fund that is used to reforest farmland.
Through accountability and early adoption this could help mitigate Cardano's energy impact, and help us steer towards a renewable society.
This is the total amount allocated to Treda: A transactional carbon tax.
The aim here is to mitigate energy use on the Cardano network during the early years of transitioning to renewables. This is through creating a button that initiates a small carbon tax when transferring tokens.
Within the plug-in it would be great to include analytics on the networks energy use, the amount of participants, and the amount of carbon sequestered.
The designated area to be planted could be named after a mathematician to go along with the Cardano theme.
Or if the community deems and/or it's found to be more beneficial funds could be directed to an established carbon credit,

The startup funds will cover:
• cost of the design and build of the 'Treda' smart contract
• Any implementation and liaison with Daedalus and yoroi or other wallets that are willing to intigrate the plugin
• organising an impartial board with multi-sig activation to guard the fund
**once the project is completed any unused catalyst funding would go to the 'Treda' fund**
