2 "Ready to mass produce" Devices
A- Aluminum unit
B- Touchscreen unit
Currently dev app of Daedalus
To Fedora 5.11.12-300.fc34aarch64
App integration of Daedalus to memory core. Important to improve app experience. Ubuntu $45,000 for dev and updates, Fedora Workstation OS
This is the total amount allocated to Daedalus Wallet Node SBC Devices.
This will spread the ADA blockchain around the world. True Defi and portable units.
Currently testing on
A) Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
GNU/Linux 5.4.0-1028 Raspi aarch64
Command line only OS
And we now have a second OS option
B) Fedora Linux 5.11.12-300.fc34.aarch64 GNU/Linux stack WITH GUI desktop OS
App integration plan A is:
Have Ubuntu make "snaps", dev fee is $30,000
Then $15,000 to provide app support with constant push updates, my fee is $1 per unit, per month and added to the cost of device, not this fund. ($90,000 + 30,000 + 15,000)
* UPDATE:
1 volunteer has finally asked to help develop the needed OS / app / wallet interface for my device! So app development cost is now?
Must keep this 2nd option to Ubuntu (A) main operating system offer. Always best to test backwards software, as your primary source code could be completely incompatible with your hardware…My plan B in the app area of my proposal.
My current HARDWARE Plan A:
Immediately order parts for 100 Node units. 3 pieces, Europe, China, Korea.
Build and test snaps from Ubuntu with testnet.
Simultaneously use:
Cryptocurrency wallet "fountain" rewards system with the app development site, know as "Github", to tweak & update the Linux Fedora / App as well and developers fee is less, but not $0.00 as well.
Inform ADA members of presales by Daedalus wallet announcement and/or jaypocrypto.com
Have Ubuntu make final tested version of the Daedalus wallet for my SBC as a "snap"
Use funds and combined pre-sale to build 1,000 more units.
*After 3 months
I roll out first 1,000 preprogrammed units as backbone to ADA node cryptocurrency network.
Do testing remotely with Ubuntu dev built in services and fix any issues with push updates included and/or Github options in Fedora OS.
Results of testing the "base" node to node and node to wallet interface will define success at this point. Less than 3 push updates per week are considered a successful OS timeframe.
** At this point a major decision is needed, is Ubuntu ok? And nodes ready for public use? Or is the Git Hub offering more stable OS and more feedback is needed to decide this "Fedora" OS fork. I say put a vote up, and let the users decide on it.
At 6 months:
Security of node network and blockchain systems are critical at this point. Only after verification can the consumer level 6.0 touchscreen ADA node/wallet be introduced.
The "base" node network distribution will then support the ADA blockchain system as a backbone of DEfi redundancy.
Successful point will be "lack" of any push updates by Ubuntu or Git hub updates. Or fewer than 1 per week.
1 year successful consideration is difficult to understand.
- The Node network constantly up and verification "proof of stake" subsystem is critical to the node architecture I designed. The system doesn't work without node participation. Though each portable cryptocurrency node/wallet can hold the blockchain, it is up to the node backbone being accessible that keeps the integrity of the system as it is, so this factor, "up time" of the nodes, will define success or failure.
Note:
Putting the nodes into the hands of ADA Cardano investors AND those that want the app "off the hard drive system of their computer" will be the first set of primary device purchasers.
This insures a responsible investment in the well being and protection of the base network nodes and possibly a 24/7 node uptime in the 92 to 95% range? That would be an outstanding ADA member participation in the backbone network structure.
Constant app development is also key.
No more "hard address strings to type" number one complaint.
My updates are almost daily.
Going to retire from my day job as $80 per hour Technician to do development full time next month. Business location already scouted and LLC papers are coming today.
I am dedicated to this project 100% this month. My new job is getting the Daedalus app to work with Ubuntu or Fedora/Linux correctly, (Ubuntu or not, Snaps or not) and have the best app possible integrated to my SBC OS.
Positive Consumer app experience is critical for this to be a "full success" after 1 year.
So many complaints about damaged wallets, lost cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency going to the "wrong" wallet address.
This system could cure these issues and provide true blockchain portability, as well as Defi services for the masses.
MCSE. 30 years of code work. Make my own equipment and programming. node #1 and touchscreen #1 are online now and function 100% perfectly.
