Key Highlights:

JUNGLE is a digital platform that uses digital technology as a tool to tackle the challenges of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the modern marketplace. Created from a research-backed development model, JUNGLE recognizes the need for digital technology in today's communities and businesses, especially in the developing world.

JUNGLE's main objective is to close the ever-growing technological gap in low-income and developing communities by developing and deploying a robust digital infrastructure capable of supporting the micro-economic structures (SMEs) within these communities. Our approach to solving the issue of this technological gap is to address the causes that are the lack of; digital infrastructure, connectivity, and digital Inclusion within the communities.

JUNGLE has devised a research-backed set of solutions directly aimed at tackling these issues. Armed with a three-pronged approach we intend to;

1. Deploy JUNGLE's platform that establishes a digital marketplace, bridging the gap between customers and businesses. This allows these businesses to digitize access to their products and services, with the goal of improving the efficiency of transactions and security for both parties. This encourages the rerouting of a significant portion of these businesses' resources toward product and service quality rather than purely business operational costs. We believe this gives these SMEs a fighting chance against the larger enterprises because the quality of products can rise. This also empowers the modern consumer by creating a diverse business landscape that they can utilize for acquiring product alternatives within their immediate community.
2. Build a digital framework for community resource management and distribution (LATTICE). Currently, in less technologically advanced communities there exists a need for solutions that allow community leaders access to their constituents. However, the processes applied today are extremely rudimentary and plagued with irregularity. The solutions for these problems exist, but the framework allowing them to be useful and applicable in these communities is yet to be developed. The current pandemic has shown that the most vulnerable in society are the least likely to receive urgent aid to maintain their livelihoods.
3. Increase the adoption of the internet by deploying immediately useful digital tools that make the Internet a necessity for people in low-income and developing communities. This approach allows the internet to meet these individuals and communities exactly where they are, versus showcasing the capabilities of a system that is of limited immediate utility. Our digital tools will be developed to encourage the use of the internet for everyday services resulting in an increase in the adoption of internet users.

We believe that in order for there to be mass adoption of the Cardano blockchain and platform there must be an immediate utility of the technology it supports. Jungle aims to provide a commercially viable runway for these technologies to be introduced and adopted in Africa. Our initial release of the Jungle platform will focus on providing a digital marketplace for SMEs and a bridge to their prospective customer bases while providing them the necessary digital business infrastructure they need to operate.
