(1) Tremendous experience and expertise in decentralized digital identity is accessible to accelerate Cardano based digital ID,

(2) Cardano is behind the curve on global best practices for decentralized digital identity best practices,

(3) The Digital Identity Shark Tank team will be the advisory and accelerator panel/team to deliver results and guide/coach Cardano project teams.

--> Five leaders, representing Europe, India, North America, Asia, Africa and Central/South America will be the Sharks. Let the feeding frenzy begin during Q1 2022!!

Impact on Challenge Metrics

To be a respected and scalable ecosystem, Cardano MUST be a trusted and legitimate home for decentralized digital identity. Trusted global thought leaders in digital identity will be brought to the shark tank to groom (and thrash) project founders/leaders - and accelerate critically important Cardano digital ID functionality. 

In one program, we can elevate Cardano to market leadership and excellence by assessing, filtering, and guiding the best digital ID projects building in Cardano.

Timeline:

"Shark Tank" sessions will be held every two weeks during 1H 2022, starting in February. In cooperation with Cardano IOG leadership, projects/teams will be selected to pitch during one hour Shark Tank session. Top teams from each session will be rewarded with coaching and network connections.

Definition of Success:

After 3 months:

• Six sessions completed with three qualified projects/teams coached and promoted toward implementing digital identity projects with Cardano

After 6 months:

• Global recognition for Thought Leadership in decentralized digital identity project/business launch;

After 12 months:

• Three Distributed Digital Identity Shark Tank winners to be producing tangible results that establish Cardano as a meaningful global player/ecosystem for trusted digital identity implementations.
