CrypTrolls: A DAO Gaming Experience

The Story:

Since the dawn of time, the mysterious trolls of the crypt have defended mother nature's purity. Pulling the strings from behind the scenes, from under great bridges and misty mountain peaks, they have worked tirelessly to preserve the Earth from the greedy hands of humanity.

Over many an age, as the humans grew stronger, so did their ambitions. Enamored with mother nature's gifts, they set out, armed with pitchfork and torch, to push the friendly trolls back into their ancient homes, far and deep into the crevices of the Earth, where, secluded from the world – they were forgotten, and their existence woven into myth, folk tale, and legend – beckoning the age of human industrialization.

Now, in the modern age, as humanity approaches the brink of extinction, pollution threatens the very destruction of the Earth itself, and the crypt trolls have awoken once more to fulfill their sacred purpose.

Against the relentless advance of the violent, technocratic machine that human civilization has become, from deep within the Earth, a council of trolls converges for an epic last stand. And they need your help!

The cycle of exploitation must be stopped, and the clumsy humans kept from destroying themselves at all costs – one filthy factory at a time.

The Games

Helping the Cryptrolls

This is the story of the Cryptrolls, the ones who warned the people. Although the people do know, they are apparently not able to make real changes. By helping the trolls, people can now enter the Cryptrolls metaverse and create a better version of the world and themselves in Cryptland. Assisting the Cryptrolls is a crucial part of entering the metaverse, Cryptland.

Without helping the Cryptrolls, it is not possible to get to Cryptland. Helping them in combination with owning an NFT is what's needed to enter. NFT's can be bought at a specific marketplace. Because we want this game to be accessible for all players, also those who do have little or no budget to start with, an entry-NFT can be won by playing this entry game. The difference between pre-buying and winning an NFT is the minimum required play levels to be achieved in the " Helping the Cryptrolls " game. It takes significantly more time to get through the entry game when having no pre-bought NFT.

Cryptland will be a safe haven, the metaverse

Cryptland can also be called "Home, the metaverse." Here a balanced economy should rise. People can buy, sell, create-sell, rent, be hired, and much more. Anything is actually possible. When people build up their digital living, one can expect they would rather not have to fear their property or other possessions to be stolen or destroyed. This would create too much of a barrier for entry. Cryptland will be a peaceful world without crimes, with no fear of invasions or wars to fight. Those who like to battle, fight or kill can travel to other worlds and enjoy that part over there.

Multiple Worlds

This will be the ultimate gaming experience within one overall concept. Multiple worlds will be created where players can enjoy various game experiences, violent or non-violent. Explore other parts of the world, go into space and discover new recourses, fight aliens, battlefields to fight against one another for trophies, money, or competitions.

Challenges/questions

Can a startup project like gaming be too complex for a democratized DAO? A challenge carried by the sentiment of this noble pursuit of "everything for, from, and with everybody," is the complexity of fast development. The democratized setup in which everybody has an equal vote in the decision-making process might be too slow and time-consuming for a start-up project. The lean start-up approach might be the preferred way of going through the first creating and development phases. Once the basic concept is running, it could be handed over to the community by a DAO construction.

Our approach

We believe a lean startup concept is the best way to realize a Gaming DAO. A compact team creates and builds a working, and financially healthy, gaming project. When this is achieved the DAO will get into a position to take it over, the project is handed back to the gaming community to develop it to the levels they have in mind.

DAO treasury and governance

The DAO will become a treasury for all the games which will be developed within the DAO. This treasury will be created through a strong liquidity program in which staking and farming (LP) are the key components. The DAO treasure will be a liquidity provider to the crypto market. This has a lot of potential in generating yield and building a substantial treasury. The DAO will use funds to invest in the games for maintenance, development, and marketing purposes for token holders.

Governance plays a significant role in a DAO. It's the way the DAO functioning. By owning DAO tokens, one can have a role within the DAO and or have voting rights to guide the development of the DAO and gaming

How to Finance?

Although Venture Capital can be beneficial and tempting at the beginning of the start-up of projects like this, it also brings in the centrally organized mentality with it, which is that potential large profits end up with a small group of people. Cryptrolls will have another approach. From the start, Cryptrolls will focus on the project's end-users, the players—investments through the masses. It will give the players, the community, the chance to be early investors in their own projects. One of the early tools to provide funding for this project will be through the sales of a couple of NFT series. These NFT's will have utilities in the games.

With choosing this decentralized path the difficulty is getting through the very early phase of the game development. It needs capital to hire good game developers to show and prove the first steps. This way we can achieve a position in this very competitive market. Having a starting capital will us allow to get through this early development phase and allow us to present a project in the making.
