Problems statement

The number of proposals in each funding round is increasing, this is a challenge for ordinary stakeholders and voters to grasp the general information, the pros and cons of each proposal, especially the voters in non-English countries, such as Vietnam and some countries in Southeast Asia. As a result, this has a certain influence on the overall voting quality.

- In terms of language, information about Cardano Blockchain and Catalyst is difficult to access for non-English communities, such as Vietnam.

- Regarding the volume of information, the number of proposals in each Fund is increasing, this has been a challenge for an ordinary person, busy stakeholders (ex: businessman, uber/grab drivers,...) for grasping the general information, advantages, and disadvantages of each proposal, especially voters in non-English countries. This has a certain negative influence on the overall voting quality. Statistics show that the average growth rate of proposals in the Catalyst funds is more than 40%, and the number of proposals in Fund 7 is expected to exceed 1,000. As a result, the amount of information that an average voter receives for voting is too large. According to incomplete statistics, with an average information volume of more than 500 words on each proposal (not including attached documents) at Fund 6, if an average person spends 1 hour/day for reading, it takes nearly 25 days to read all 700+ proposals. This is really a problem for scaling up the Cardano local communities.

Therefore, short videos and podcasts are required for dealing with the problems listed above.

Solution

Producing short videos & podcasts in Vietnamese lasting about 2 minutes per video/podcast containing compiled, analyzed, and evaluated information for about 25% of the proposals (filtered through 2MIN criteria by the 2MIN Community) in Catalyst Fund 8 and Fund 9. Information sources come from the proposal itself, comments, reviews from CA, and other relevant sources.

Each video & podcast on our channel (Youtube and Spotify) can briefly provide Vietnamese stakeholders with general information, advantages, and disadvantages of a particular proposal.

Four years since the beginning of our mission to construct and maintain a Cardano community in Viet Nam, our social media channels (both Telegram and Facebook) have reached 4000+ members where these people share interests in Cardano-Catalyst related content. Our ongoing goal is to bridge Cardano international with the Vietnamese and other non-English communities to strongly connect and become a part of the ecosystem. We are reaching that ambition by developing easy tools and applications.

After being funded in Fund 6 ​​[https://cardano.ideascale.com/a/dtd/2Min-Review/370212-48088], we are building 2MIN Review's business ideas and model through Catalyst Boost Camp (since November 2021).

Roadmap (with goal, tasks & budget)

This proposal is expected to be launched at Fund 8 and Fund 9 with these particular phases below:

Fund 8 (from the submission date)

Goal:

• List of 250 proposals.
• 250 articles summarizing information and analyzing 250 proposals, with a volume of information for presenting in 2 minutes (about 500 words/proposal).
• 250 videos for 250 proposals uploaded on the 2Min Review youtube channel before Fund 8's voting deadline.

Tasks:

• Filtering proposals at Fund 8 using the 2Min Criteria on Website platform / Mobile application, selecting 25% of submitted proposals (expected 250 proposals).
• Receiving articles (of 250 proposals) contributed by the community members.
• Reviewing articles in order to select the best 250 analytical articles.
• Receiving videos (of 250 proposals) from selected authors and self-producing videos by AI technology.
• Reviewing videos in order to maximize the videos' completion.

Fund 9 (from the submission date)

Goal:

• List of 250 proposals.

Key metrics and KPIs

• Due to the characteristics of being an informational channel with a duration of about 2 minutes/video and limited entertainment, we focus on 03 main indicators to evaluate the success of the channel, including:
• Average view duration: with this indicator, we aim to 1.5 min/video after the end of Fund 9.
• Average Percentage Viewed: with this indicator, we aim to average 75% of the duration of each video watched after the end of Fund 9.
• New Subscriber: with this indicator, we aim to increase subscriptions by an average of 10 % per month over the evaluation period of 4 months.

Risk

Building a list of 250 proposals depends on the 2Min Review's community. As a result, there is a possible risk that a number of proposals with high quality are filtered out from that List. To deal with this, the 2MIN Review team set aside 10 % of the total budget as a reserve for the purpose of ensuring content quality.

Conclusion

IMPACT: This proposal has a big impact. Each of our videos and podcasts will help Cardano voters in Vietnam and worldwide with basic information, advantages, and disadvantages of proposals submitted in Fund 8 and Fund 9, thereby, increasing the quality of voting at each fund. As a result, this affects voting performance. In the future, 2Min Review's direction is to reach out to other non-English content in Southeast Asia.

FEASIBILITY: This proposal is feasible because of:

• Our goals are very specific, with key metrics, KPI, and timeline;
• The procedures and methods are well defined from the beginning.
• The 2Min Review team consists of members with experience in community building and development, conducting surveys - field research, currently contributing to Cardano as CA and vCA, experienced in producing, editing, and refining video content.

We are now ready to start Fund 7 with an established youtube channel and a few test videos of some of the featured projects at the Fund 6 has been uploaded.
