The Mission

Harnessing the power of blockchain technology, Black Rhino aims to empower users to support projects, organizations, local communities, government organizations and other parties involved in endangered species conservation through new opportunities in emerging technologies. Our Mission is to raise support and awareness for conservation organizations, as well as local communities working to protect important natural resources around the world. We plan to accomplish these goals through the launch of a native cryptocurrency token, exclusive nft collections, rewards protocols, and an online fundraising platform.

The Why

As human populations continue to grow, so does the number of critically endangered species. Losing key endangered species could cause many important ecosystems around the world to fall apart. Conservation efforts and local communities work tirelessly to help preserve and protect endangered species, as well as their habitats. Many of these species are precious resources in certain parts of the world, especially in developing countries. However, many of these communities and organizations lack the support and infrastructure necessary to maintain these resources properly. Due to this, controversial funding models, like trophy hunting, have become a means of supporting conservation efforts in some areas of the world.

Trophy Hunting is not a sustainable solution. There needs to be a better way. We believe that new opportunities in blockchain provide those opportunities.

The Opportunity

With an estimated $3 Trillion currently circulating in cryptocurrency markets today, there is an opportunity to create additional streams of funding for non-profit conservation organizations, government organizations, and local communities in developing countries around the world. Opportunities to encourage and incentivize everyday cryptocurrency, nft and blockchain users to support conservation efforts are here today.

The How

The Solution we offer is Black Rhino. A way for everyday users to democratically support endangered species conservation efforts, projects, and organizations through the launch of a cryptocurrency token, nfts, and a fundraising platform enabling cryptocurrency donations + fundraising supporting local causes.

Future plans include developing our own nft platform exclusively for nfts that support endangered species conservation. The platform will enable conservation organizations to list and auction nfts, experiences, auctions and more directly, with no middleman ensuring more of the funds will be received by the organization. This will also allow users to trade nfts on one secure, verified, secondary market. We also plan to develop an interactive platform which will enable users to build their own online sanctuaries with the nfts they have collected. Users will be able to share, trade, purchase and more with their sanctuaries.

Partnering with local organizations in key areas of the world, like WADA in Western Africa, is crucial to our success. We aim to partner with as many conservationists, ranger parks, biologists, animal behaviourists, economic advisors, and government organizations as possible. Adding these key people to our team will be a significant part of our growth.

Black Rhino Token ($BRT)

A cryptocurrency that directly supports non-profit conservation organizations + local communities around the world, voted on democratically by token holders. Holders are rewarded with $BRT for donations made through Black Rhino, and for every transaction made using $BRT, users are incentivized with opportunities to win nfts, experiences and more.

Black Rhino Donation Platforms

Black Rhino Donation Platforms allow for everyday users to donate + support non-profit conservation organizations around the world directly using cryptocurrencies. Throughout our journey as Black Rhino, we've established connections with many unique wildlife non-profit organizations. We've observed that many of them are aware of the continuously growing opportunities in the cryptocurrency market, and want to get involved but don't have the required resources to do so.

This is why a key aspect of our project is to bridge the gap between those organizations and the average blockchain user. In order to do so, we are developing a platform which will facilitate donations done using cryptocurrencies and provide an end-to-end solution to the charity organizations which will guarantee them their cash flow from the crypto market.

NFTs

Black Rhino NFT works feature exclusive photographs, videos, original artworks, graphics, and more. Each collection will be released in collaboration with organizations, projects, causes, and more supporting endangered species populations around the world. Proceeds from each purchase go directly to support conservation efforts globally, as well as local communities and government organizations in partnership with Black Rhino.

Conclusion

Repairing our world is vital to our existence. Improving lives, and protecting the status of endangered species is imperative to our future. In many developing countries, endangered species are an important natural resource, but there is not a lot of infrastructure in place to care for these animals properly. At Black Rhino we believe that opportunities in blockchain can have a powerful impact on conservation, and we believe that our solution with support of cryptocurrency adoption, will help us move towards better days.

Funding

We require $90,000 for initial project funding. This funding will act as initial capital and will allow our team to work full time on this project. It will allow us to put the right team in place, build our test protocols, commence initial product building/development, as well design version one for our platforms and our online communities within our ecosystem.
