Delegation Matching Service

Our crowdfunding-type matching platform can be used to expand the convenience and benefits for both SPOs and delegates.

During six months as a SPO, I noticed some areas for improvement, such as the way to finding pools and collecting delegates.

How will my proposal affect the challenge?

In order to further promote the expansion and decentralization of the Cardano network, the nodes that support it must be fully operational in anticipation of the increased demand for transaction processing that will result from the adoption of Cardano in financial and payment systems. However, at present, delegation is concentrated in popular pools and SPOs, making it difficult for new entrants and smaller pools to attract enough delegation to generate blocks and maintain operations. Also, from a delegators point of view, additional attractive factors besides delegation rewards are needed to make people want to choose Cardano Stake Pool as their asset management destination among the myriad of financial products available. Delegation Matching Service (DMS) will improve these issues by creating a win-win relationship between SPOs and delegators, while making Cardano staking more accessible to people and increasing the flow of users from other ecosystems.

What kind of activities will be done?

DMS is a service similar to crowdfunding, offered on a website or smartphone app.(Even if the Catalyst proposal is not accepted, the project will be self-funded over time to make it a reality.)

For SPOs:

• Videos on how to build a stakepool and support for building, operating and maintaining it.
• A page with information about the pool, SPO's business and projects, and the returns you will give back to delegators
• Staking support from DMS (planned)

For delegates:

• List view of return contents
• Pool information and project introduction page
• Notification of operation status of the pool under delegation
• Linkage with Wallet (planned)

*returns = Compensation distributed by the SPO to the delegate in addition to the delegation rewards.(e.g. products, discount coupons, ancillary services, etc.)

What are the benefits of using a DMS?

Benefits of SPO:

• Can reduce the effort of SNS marketing, etc. (easier to attracting delegates)
• Can receive support for node construction and operation
• Can receive support for the amount of delegation required for block generation (planned)
• Can be used as a means of attracting customers and raising funds for business.

Benefits for delegators:

• Know what kind of person is the pool operator
• Can choose a pool from a new perspective of return
• Can delegate to pools with a certain level of quality
• Can get returns in addition to the delegation rewards.

Benefits for the Cardano network:

• Promotes decentralization and sustainability through SPO support
• Inflow from other systems due to increased staking activity

Definition of Success

In progress - Preparing a video on how to build a stakepool. (To be completed by the end of December 2021.)

3 months later - Japanese version of test site released, Start promotion (20 registered pools, 100 users)

6 months later - Official service launch, multi-language support (100 registered pools, 1,000 users)

12 months later - Smartphone application release (200 registered pools, 3,000 users)

カルダノネットワーク拡大と分散化をより促進するためには、今後金融や決済システムにカルダノが採用されトランザクション処理の需要が増えることを見越して、それを支えるノードの稼働も十分に確保されていなければなりません。しかし現在は人気プールや人気SPOに委任が集中し、新規参入したプールや規模の小さなプールはブロックを生成し運営を維持するのに十分な委任を集めることが難しい環境にあります。また委任者の視点からも、無数にある金融商品の中から人々の資産運用先としてカルダノステークプールを選びたくなるようにするには、ステーキング報酬のほかに追加の魅力的要素が必要です。Delegation Matching Service(DMS)はSPOと委任者の間にWin-Winの関係を築くことでこれらの課題を改善すると同時に、カルダノステーキングがより人々にとって身近なものになり、他エコシステムから利用者の流入増加も見込むことが出来るようになります。

プロジェクト概要

DMSはクラウドファンディングに似た形式のサービスで、ウェブサイトまたはスマートフォンアプリ上で提供します。（このカタリスト提案が採択されなかった場合でも、プロジェクトは実現に向け長期間かけて自己資金で進行されます。）
