As Crypto currency becomes more prominent it is important to steer the development of the larger community away from tribalism.
Inviting speakers/experts/community members from other blockchain communities such as BTC, ETH, and XRP to Cardano networking events.
This is the total amount allocated to Cross-Chain Networking Events EXT.
We at DeFi Discussions are currently planning out networking events in multiple countries in South America. We are using these events to:
With the interest of cross-chain collaboration in mind, we would like to also invite members of other cryptocurrency communities to our events. This would create space for them to engage with our community and also contribute to the conversations we will host. Allowing guest speakers from other blockchains to present their thoughts at our events will encourage cooperation between our community and theirs and allow us access to the best ideas the greater DeFi community has to offer.
By inviting proponents of other projects to our Cardano based events we create the space for the collaboration and idea sharing that is necessary to move away from tribalism in the crypto world. We have the opportunity to set the gold standard for cross-chain collaboration. The more bridges are established between different projects at our events the more Cardano becomes the focal point of these connections and the ideas that pass through them. This is the ideal position for our community to take as we try to be among the first to establish Cross Chain Collaboration
One small challenge we will face is finding a plethora of speakers from other blockchain communities since we are primarily embedded in the Cardano network. However our network is large enough that it shouldn't be too difficult nor take too much time for us to expand.
The timeline for this project would be in tandem with "Networking/Education LATAM"'s timeline. As we get more students connected to the crypto world (via networking events/education) we will be able to further support them with getting integrated on this platform. We expect this project to take about one year.
