There are no active communities in India that are dedicated to Blockchain and Cardano in specific.
Leveraging Konmahood, a global community forum to build a strong well-connected community in India
This is the total amount allocated to Cardano India Tribe - Konmahood.
India is a diverse nation with the 2nd largest population in the world. Being one of the best web2 hubs in the world, the scope to expand into web3 requires awareness and a strong community. With a vast number of potential, the way forward is to build a community that is closely knit and grows by itself.
INTENTION
With Konmahood we intend to create a safe space shared by beginners, enthusiasts, and experts alike with a common goal of knowledge sharing, developing synergies, and collaborating. Such spaces are rare to find and seem hard to create, but with the right structure and a decentralized, autonomous system governing them, they can thrive!
With Konmahood we aim to solve the problem statement by using our existing stand-alone community forum for people who can be united by their common interest for blockchain, crypto trading, and the likes, and creating an exclusive tribe called “Cardano India”.
Main Features –
Konmahood has various features that can be used to build the Cardano India community.
COMMUNITY FORUM
Konmahood is a community forum with a democratic approach where people from different social strata, cultures, and backgrounds meet to exchange their views with the aim of creating a harmonious community. It is a place where professionals and enthusiasts come together to share their experiences and combine forces. Updates, peer-to-peer communication, mass communication, event hosting, course/workshop offering, can be done in one single platform.
TRIBE SYSTEM
The community is forked into multiple tribes that are centred around exclusive domains under food, lifestyle, and art with independent stories, guidelines, and economies! An exclusive tribe for the following will be created –
Anyone can join tribes as an enthusiast or as an expert and take up roles and help each other build the "Cardano India" tribe into a robust and sustainable community. This will be an open community as we aim to bring in as many members as possible to create a strong Cardano India community.
VOTING SYSTEM
When we say that Konmahood is a decentralized community forum and we are more focused on community decision making than individual decision making. Konmahood has the poll feature which helps to take the public opinion on the tribe-related actions. This makes the forum more active and keeps the participants engaged and gives them a sense of belonging. With our previous experiments during the beta stage of Konmahood, we found that the community integrity was great and individuals felt like their voices were heard through these polling systems. This feature will be a strong foundation for building and holding together the Cardano India community.
CONTENT STREAMLINING
The major issue with most conventional social media is that contents are cluttered. Finding content specific to individual interests is limited. Each tribe has a “Topic” feature which helps to categorize everything that is posted into specific topics. In the Cardano India tribe, we intend to create such topics that will help the participants find the information based on their topic of interest. This way the community members are not wasting their time. Using features, it will be easier to streamline language-specific content into topics and make it easier for users to find the language-specific content.
PEER-TO-PEER COMMUNICATION
Communication is key to the integrity of any community. With a peer-to-peer communication system, it is easier for community members to interact and synergize. There is a mass communication channel that can be used to communicate information, event details, etc. And there is an ever-active feed where contents in the form of text, images, videos, or links can be shared.
EVENT HOSTING
Konmahood also has event hosting features that will send automatic reminders for the event and help integrate the Konmaverse platform (virtual meeting space) to host virtual events. This can be effectively used to host Hackathons and competitions for the Cardano India community
COURSE OFFERING
Experts can offer courses and workshops on the same platform to upskill the enthusiast and create their own tribe economy. This can be effectively used for the Cardano India tribe to offer value to its members.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Since Konmahood is an existing community forum and will be hosting various other tribes in different fields, Cardano India Tribe will have a scope to reach a larger audience. This scope can also be expanded to form a tribe for Cardano in other countries in the future.
Intended Audience –
The target audience is in the Indian subcontinent falling into the following categories -
WHAT WILL THE CARDANO INDIA TRIBE DO?
KPI
Outcome Reports
Challenges & Mitigation Strategy
CHALLENGE
Resistance to adaption – Since blockchain is a new concept and there are many inhibitions about the credibility and real-life uses, there will surely be resistance and questions raised.
MITIGATION STRATEGY
Education and Awareness - Introducing simple concepts of blockchain in a progressive manner with real-life examples and concepts will be helpful. This we intend to do by conducting workshops and courses that will aid in better adaption
CHALLENGE
Multi-Lingual – There are many languages being spoken in India and it is easier to penetrate and build a stronger community by communicating in regional languages because there are various language mediums used in schools and colleges.
MITIGATION STRATEGY
Hosting multi-lingual sessions for more effective understanding and creating resources for these regional languages starting with Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu.
CHALLENGE
Population size is the major challenge and it is not easy to penetrate to a wider audience all at once. With different levels of understanding and access to information, it is a challenge to communicate the same content to all.
MITIGATION STRATEGY
Instead of targeting a large group, we intend to divide the target group based on accessibility, level of understanding and languages and communicating on different levels over a period of time. We understand that adaption takes time and we are willing to take the necessary steps to consistently work on growing the adaption.

With an existing forum in place with a dashboard to measure metrics, it will be easy to track the progress of this proposal.
With lesser awareness about blockchain and Cardano in the Indian community, success would be reaching people from all parts of India and communicating about blockchain and Cardano in the most simplest way. If this goal is achieved and our intentions are successful, we will find more proposals in the next funds and more ADA holders voting for projects and CAs from India assessing proposals.
This is a new proposal.
