Milkomeda Hackathon

Milkomeda Hackathon is in a planned sequence with DeFi Hackathon (please see proposal #800143). DeFi Hackathon is in the final steps of frontend implementation of its webpage, expected to launch in 1-2 weeks! As long as the DeFi hackathon is on track, our plans for Milkomeda Hackathon are in good standing. Every bit of experience gained from DeFi Hackathon contributes to the development and improvement of Milkomeda Hackathon. We understand this proposal will not receive any of its funding for the time being.

There is no evidence for this proposal at the time since it is a "part two" in sequence with proposal #800143.

To reiterate much of last month's report, our team will first focus on preparing the Milkomeda DeFi Hackathon (800143 proposal ID). However, in order to speed up the process we will carry out internal preparations in parallel. That said, the realization of Milkomeda DeFi Hackathon will affect the official start date for accepting submissions for Milkomeda Hackathon. Our first step in preparing for the launch of the next hackathon is to create the appropriate categories under which participants will build projects and create ideas, as well as rules and acquiring media partners. Due to the fact that December is a month when we may see a significant drop in people's activity in many parts of the world, we will not be officially launching the hackathons this year. We would like to make the best use of Catalyst funds and get as many submissions as possible, which will translate into a significant number of projects on the Milkomeda Cardano Sidechain. We are also learning lessons from the Milkomeda DAO Hackathon to run the program even better. Therefore, in December, we've focused our attention on the program design of the Milkomeda DeFi Hackathon (see proposal 800143), since its launch will directly sequence to this proposal's launch. Our goal is to start marketing and announcing the Hackathon at the very beginning of next year. The program should launch no later than the first half of February (right after Milkomeda DeFi Hackathon). The process to launch this Hackathon end of February is moving along as planned.

We present the results of the previous Hackathon, which has occupied our main attention so far. We will learn many lessons from it and reinforce what went best.
