Information about Cardano, Catalyst, programming languages, integrations is scattered all over the internet. There is not yet a centralized physical point for simple and effective access for new onboarding.

There is a technical and community hub in Vietnam. This model will work and take care of interested people on online channels only while many people will feel closer and more confident when they are able to attend the discussion offline. In this open discussion, they can ask anything related to Cardano, they can connect with the right members and partners.

There have been many crypto-related scams that have lost the trust of participants, we need to have periodic activities with specific content to increase trust, create solid connections in the community.

Our goal is to create Cafee-Cardano community hubs in big cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, The project implementation team will select existing coffee shops in the appropriate area, sign long-term contracts with them to organize periodic workshops.

• We will hold meetups and seminars for people who want to learn about blockchain and the Cardano platform, starting from a fundamental level like what is Blockchain, how to create and use wallets (yoroi, Daedalus..) staking with Cardano, how to be SPO, Proposer, CA/vCA then followed by advanced courses such as writing smart contracts Marlove, Plutus, creating tokens, creating NFT, DAOS or integrating with their current website and enterprise infrastructure.

• We will also invite key opinion leaders to discuss Cardano’s adoption

By choosing suitable shops in densely populated areas, we will have advantages:

• The image of Cardano, Catalyst will be promoted to more people.
•  Because the location is well-suitable, many Cardano enthusiasts will be able to attend. We will share information with more audiences.
• Reasonable cost to run event.
• The shop attracts more customers

Workshop attendees will be greeted with a surprise discount when ordering coffee, encouraged to share their ideas and prioritized support during and after the event.

The workshops will be live-streamed so that both online and offline audiences could attend. By conducting in this way, we are able to address people's questions directly and provide them with more interesting experiences in learning.

This is also the missing piece of the project we submitted and funded in F7 (https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/382651 ). With the addition of this project, we will diversify the way we provide information to the community by both online and offline. the result will increase awareness of Cardano for attendees in every meetup, encourage them to get involved in various of catalyst roles ( proposers, CA, vCA, referer and event voters) so that adoption on Cardano will be higher.

Pandemic: Vietnam has an open-door policy for activities with large gatherings.

Legality: Meetups will be shared with a disclaimer. Content will be registered in advance with the authorities.

Roadmap:

Stage 1: Basic course and standardization.

After 1 month, we expect to:

• Complete fundamental level training courseware
• Sign a contract with a coffee to run a weekly event in at least 6 months term.
• Complete the decoration design areas, banner, standees, leaflet

After 2 months, we expect to:

• Complete advanced level training courseware
• Conduct 3, 4 offline sharing sessions at Cardano Coffee lounge
• Invite more blockchain experts to join and deliver key topics
• Roll out Basic and advanced sharing sessions weekly with predefined schedule (topic, timing, and speaker)
• Run meetup weekly

Stage 2: Scaling up.

After 3 months we have a goal:

• Replicating the model in Ho Chi Minh City 
• Run meetup weekly on both areas

All training sessions, seminars will be recorded and posted on youtube channels.

Our project Timelines:

1st month:

• Location of 1st meetups coffee shop is announced

2nd month:

• Delivery 04 meetups offline
• At least 50 Attendees

3rd month:

• Location of 2nd meetups coffee shop is announced
• Delivery 08 meetups 
• At least 100 Attendees

4th month:

• Delivery 08 meetups 
• At least 120 Attendees

5th month:

• Delivery 10 meetups 
• At least 120 Attendees

6th month:

• Delivery 10 meetups

 Budget breakdown:

• Labor hours to design and create a basic course: Basic Blockchain, Catalyst; Daedalus and Yoroi wallet creation guide (What is Blockchain, how to create and use staking wallet with Cardano, how to become SPO, Proposer, CA / vCA...): 60 hours
• Search and select a suitable coffee shop, plan and decorate the area for the meetup: 24 hours.
• Labor cost for designing and creating Advanced course (writing smart contracts Marlove, Plutus, creating tokens, creating NFT, DAOS or integrating with their current website and enterprise infrastructure): 80 hours
• Speaker cost for 20 meetups at Hanoi City, each meetup last 3 hours: 60 hours
• Speaker cost for 20 meetups at Ho Chi Minh City, each meetup last 3 hours: 60 hours
• Recording, editing, and uploading video on youtube 2hour*2 sites*20 weeks=80 hours
• Labor cost for website DevOps- for arranging video on a website: 20 hours 
• Project management: 1 hour/per week x 26 week=26 hours 

 Total hours=410 hours. 

• (1) With hour rate is $50/hour, so total estimable labor cost should be: 410x50= $20,500
• (2) Design and produce banners, standees, leaflets for Catalyst, Plutus, Haskell for both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, show them in LCD display in Coffeeshop during events: $1,000
• (3) Budget reserve for the discount of coffee orders (from audiences): $1,500
• (4) Event Marketing and communications: $1,800

Total cost= (1)+(2)+(3) +(4) = $20,500 + $1,000 + $1,500 + $1,800=$24,800
