Justification: Quintana Roo is characterized by its tourist activity, its socio-economic growth, and its use of natural resources. However, scientific academic dissemination is limited and there is no digital open science format, with a structure similar to a scientific comic to communicate the importance of preserving aquatic systems and their microorganisms.

Does the young sector really know the importance of the biological diversity of coastal and continental systems?

Is society aware of the adverse effects of water pollution?

Is there a scientific comic in Quintana Roo, or the Yucatan Peninsula that communicates the importance of the biological diversity of aquatic systems and the danger of water pollution?

Aventuras zooplanktasticas® has as its main objective: To create an open science comic with academic bases of high value to communicate the importance of microorganisms in water and the adverse effects of environmental pollution.

Year 1. Form a workgroup (4 months), creation and registration of characters (4 months), Storyboard design, workshop, and final digital conceptual project (4 months).

Year 2. Publish digitally, at least four issues in year two, of the Comic Aventuras Zooplanktasticas®. Each number will be published in digital format every 3 months. In addition, a keynote disclosure conference will be held to promote each issue of the Zooplanktastic® Adventures comic.
