Atala Prism—coupled with Roots ID—could benefit from a number of proof of humanity KYC solutions that add to a self-sovereign identity and enable true democracy (one person / one vote) within Cardano
Cross-chain validation of Proton KYC identity with Atala Prism.
Minting non-transferable NFT/badges to affirm identity credentials, KYC ID with Atala
prism. Enables proof of humanity KYC solutions.
This is the total amount allocated to ProofOfHumanity KYC on Atala Prism.
Assigning a Proton Account to a Cardano Address
Sync it to Roots ID
Run a process to verify this and mint a unique NFT Badge as a Cardano native asset
The solution will use WAL-CLI to generate/issue/send/verify/manage/revoke Proof of Humanity KYC verifiable credentials. And the solution will be using the RootsWallet to send/receive/store/verify/manage/search/display Proof of Humanity KYC verifiable credentials from mobile devices.
The team will collaborate to make these functions as user-friendly and as consistent as possible across the two environments.
Provide a tangible implementation of cross-chain collaboration.
Introduce a standard mechanism for KYC verification on Cardano by
cross-chain leveraging Proton’s KYC process with Atala Prism.
Proof of concept for other chains to cross-chain integrate with the Cardano ecosystem (e.g. EOSIO)
Risk 1: Cross-chain implementation challenges -
Mitigation 1: Utilising Freeos’ existing knowledge and expertise and proof of concepts.
Risk 2: Possible technical incompatibilities with different KYC formats -
Mitigation 2: Lance Byrd specialises in decentralised solutions to these problems with Atala Prism.
Risk 3: KYC process is centralised -
Mitigation 3: wrap Proton’s KYC process in Atala Prism.
Risk 4: KYC has a tendency to become just another product -
Mitigation 4: using Atala Prism helps preserve KYC credentials from becoming another product.
Timeline: 3 months

Milestone 3: Create an online server, and write a process to maintain the KYC data to be transported: 40 hours
Milestone 4: Create data tables on Proton to format, manage, store, and deliver the KYC verification status data: 30 hours
Milestone 5: Develop the front end user interface: 30 hours
Milestone 6: Create a template for minting unique NFT Badges as Cardano native assets: 30 hours
Milestone 7: Testing each process to ensure it operates consistently as designed: 100 hours
Milestone 8: Project management using Clickup www.clickup.com - leading the 2-weekly sprint meetings and daily standups. To ensure timely and quality delivery of all Milestones: 40 hours
Milestone 9: Product management: ensuring that the product we deliver solves the problem of the user enabling proof of humanity KYC solutions (and one-person one-vote) on Cardano: 25 hours
Detailed Budget breakdown:
US Team @ $100 USD / hour
