CAT_ID Catalyst SSI

Cat_Id will be a customizable Identification/Role solution. DAO's or other autonomous organizations will be able to request custom Identification for entire organization that are verifiable and unique by using a user provided 4-6 pin concatenated with the organization's name(or other chosen identifier).

The Cat_Id can be used as an input in a script, releasing funds to specific users. 

The Cat_Id can be used to assign roles in a DAO/Server. 

The Cat_Id can be used to establish trusted users in a public space by requiring members to have a policy key minted with their unique identifier.

The Cat_Id can be used as a voting tool, requiring each participant to possess a valid personalized ID with the policy number tied to a corresponding election.

This proposal is aimed at identifying patterns in roles of organizations, specifically using the roles within Catalyst and the CAs, proposers, and Challenge Teams.

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

There will be some hesitation in regards to applying "identity solutions" to roles as opposed to individuals.

Considering the tokens and idea has already been developed, we can begin with issuing tokens to Community Advisors as a pilot and then follow up with a stronger plan in fund 10.

We can also issue tokens to the proposers that provide reviews on the assessments.

We will be able to have greater participation in Fund 10.

The team is aware of the risk involved when dealing with contractual terms with financial related institutions. Base on the experience, we will implement a strategy to look for companies with diverse approach to the service (i.e. more financial vs more technical) and with a variety of position in the market (i.e well established with traditional models vs new and innovative flexible companies)

It is possible that we return for additional funding as this model is based on the European SSI Foundation model and is highly transferable or interoperable.

[AUDITABILITY] Please describe what you will measure to track your project's progress, and how will you measure these?

This team adopts Agile methodology based on the tools provided by github. Besides progress reports, the advancement will be tracked by github issues, project views (like Kanban board) and commits. Intermediate progress will be reported as Sprint Burndown, a KPI metric that shows the progress as percentage of each development sprint.

The success of the project is the onboarding and adoption of Cat_ID within parts of the community and potentially a couple of DAOS. The real success though will be the opportunity top speak openly and more in depth with the community about SSI and this framework.
