There is no platform to send messages on chain or a chain verifiable way to verify announcements on upcoming / existing projects.
Build out a web app for receiving updates on projects and native apps for iPhone and Android to receive notifications from projects.
This is the total amount allocated to On Chain NFT Notifications.
Anybody who has bought an NFT knows that there are many issues with verifying when a message is actually coming from a team member or not.
One example of failed verification would be the constant DMs of individuals claiming to be part of a project asking for a transaction to be sent to their wallet or making outright claims about the project to spread FUD.
We believe a solution to this is to build a web app and native apps for iPhone and Android that give the user 100% confidence in who messages are coming from. Our proposal would lean into leveraging standards that already exist on chain to build an app to easily verify that a real team member sent the notification.
We hope that building out tools to help validate the source of a message will help to mitigate rug pulls and future scams in a way that helps the Cardano ecosystem as a whole.
We would be creating a system to increase transparency within the NFT ecosystem and minimizing risks to users who participate in it. This will lead to increased trust of users in the NFT space.
The main challenges would be funding and creating the web and phone apps. We have a couple of individuals who are ready to build the dApp, but funding is needed to keep these individuals employed with Provenance Systems. This is why we are seeking Project Catalyst funding. Ensuring that the web and phone apps are created in a timely manner will require that the individuals involved in the project are able to devote their time to it.
The full timeline for delivery on this web app is 12 weeks or 6 full sprints for a dedicated front-end engineer. With the backend tools we have been building over the past year, there is minimal work needed here.
Phase 1: Build Web App
Phase 2: Build Phone App
Phase 3: Deploy Smart Contracts
Front end developer: 3 months, fulltime = $35000

Jeren Sisk - Developer / Co-founder
After jumping headfirst into software starting with a technical trade program in 2013, Jeren has since accrued 9+ years of experience as a full stack developer in a broad range of business domains, including railway, e-commerce, and law. His experience ranges from new development, to system maintenance, to total refactors of existing systems. Recently, he's been focused on a large scale refactor and decoupling of a monolithic system into a domain driven, microservice architecture. When he's not working on enterprise systems, he's probably doing game development.

We will most likely have to apply for further funding in order to complete all of the anticipated phases of the project.

We will be setting up a dedicated domain to all of our proposals. We will give as close to real time updates as possible. We should have the domain up in the next week at which point we encourage people to visit and audit our progress. - https://catalyst.provenance.systems
We believe that users shouldn’t have to know the technical to know a notification came from a project.
Our measure of success starts with delivering a user-friendly experience that does just that.
Additional metrics to look at will be how many test users have we engaged? Our hope is to draw in engagement during the process to help address any concerns.
This is a new proposal on Project Catalyst.
