African Ambassador for CNFTs
Problem
NFTs on Cardano have seen an uptick in trading volume over the past few months, though as per our analytics most of our traffic tends to originate from North America.
Solution
We want to hire and train an on-ground ambassador for Cardano NFTs in Africa. This person’s main task would be to find artists & creators within African territories and onboard them to NFTs.

The ambassador will act as a true representative of everything Cardano and its NFT space has to offer. Executing research activities to be able to inform people on ground about the opportunities and act as a connection medium between artists and facilitators.

The efforts of JPG and our ambassador will empower creators from the grassroot level. Not only will this help communities prosper but will also bring much needed cultural diversity to the Cardano NFT ecosystem.
[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?
The challenge that we foresee is finding the right candidate who has the balance of technical and artistic skills all wrapped up in an individual fit for leadership and community building.

The ambassador will execute their duties for the foreseeable future but we are currently requesting funding for the first 6 months of his employment to generate momentum.

Our budget covers the 6 month cost of the expected employee. As per our research, we will be hiring an individual in the bracket of $80,000/year for this position.

The team member will be hired for this purpose once funding is secured, while our C-Level executives will be interviewing all candidates before confirming an individual for this position.

The submission is a one time funding request to execute the proposal. We do not foresee us returning to Catalyst for further funding in regards to this proposal.

The proposal will put a real person on the ground in Africa, our measure of progress of this would be the onboarding of new talent to Cardano and with them communities of their peers.

An NFT Ecosystem that has a proper representation of African territories and communities, all while artistically and financially.empowering creators.

Team
The team at JPG launched the marketplace in the second week of November 2021. Since then JPG has pushed to create a user driven marketplace servicing all NFTs on Cardano.
