[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.
- The global blockchain market has been projected to grow from $7.18 billion in 2022 to $163.83 billion by 2029, at a CAGR of 56.3%. Unfortunately, the rate of professional accountants and lawyers is not expanding at the same rate. Trellis Enterprise Holdings (Trellis) will be expanding our courses and running professional development courses.
- We will upskill our qualified lawyers and accountants in Zimbabwe and the SADC region and introduce blockchain literacy.
- We will run marketing campaigns to attract professionals in these fields focusing on Zimbabwe and other SADC countries. Our campaign will be based on data we collated from a previous professional development campaign.
- Trellis Training intends to partner with Dope Crypto and Dash Stone Advisory LLC in the development and delivery of the accounting courses. Our partnership with FLUID7 has engaged us in the process of being able to deliver our courses on the GeniusU platform, which has 4 million subscribers. We have engaged WADA and are in the early stages. We anticipate forging a mutually beneficial partnership.
- We anticipate running 12 courses every 4-6 weeks in the first year and we anticipate engaging up to 900 students. Please note that this is a conservative estimate. We anticipate that we will not only attract new graduates but also existing professionals. We believe that this will not only help to reduce Zimbabwe's 80% unemployment rate, but will also ensure the Cardano Ecosystem thrives.
[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.
Project Activities
- Identify current industry standards in terms of legislation, software and blockchain technology being used.
- Engage relevant employees for, front and back end developers for the creation of the course content and its delivery.
- Market course in Zimbabwe and throughout the SADAC region.
- Engage local authorities and government, offer discounts to any civil servants who sign up for our courses to encourage participation at a governmental level and introduce Cardano at a local government level.
- As part of the marketing we will offer a financial reward for any referrals made and students enrol as a result. This will widen our marketing reach and give locals an opportunity to generate an income through word of mouth.
- After the students have completed the course, we will offer CV writing courses and provide them with training for virtual interviews to help them become more employable. When they have completed our courses we will transfer them onto our Trellis BPO system ready to be outsourced.
[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?
- Professionals who are more mature sign up not being capable of navigating the software due to their lack of computer literacy skills. It can be resolved by requiring a certain level of computer literacy as a prerequisite for enrolling in the course. We could offer separate courses aimed at building confidence to those who are struggling.
- The delivery of a class could be affected by power outages - We can ensure the offices we are operating from have backup generators or we can invest in a solar-powered generator.
- The students logging in remotely do not have a strong enough internet connection. We can offer students the option of attending our classes on our premises where there is a secure internet. If they are local We can offer students the option of attending our classes on our premises where there is a secure internet and access to electricity.
