The proposal aims to tackle low blockchain literacy, limited decentralized funding, and low community participation in Ethiopia by raising awareness of Cardano Project Catalyst and ADA.
This is the total amount allocated to Hurrying up the development of the Cardano Project Catalyst in Ethiopia.

The solution is to market Cardano Project Catalyst in Ethiopia through marketing, workshops, and community events so as to increase awareness, ADA usage, and access to decentralized funding.
No dependencies
The results of this project shall be in the public domain, this means that all the material and resources produced in this project are within the public domain. This includes:
Marketing Materials (Designs): Everything including banners, t-shirts, stickers, and flyers, and other printed items to be planned and created will be made in illustrator format and freely downloadable with options modified for other project
Educational Content: Everything created during the workshops, the presentation and the guides on Cardano and Project Catalyst will be made available to the public domain for anyone who wishes to learn or teach about the platfor
Community Resources: For local Cardano users and developers, any tools, apps or platforms developed during the project will be open source so that the community can build and extend it from where it is lef
Such an approach will enhance public awareness, increase dissemination and buildup on Ethiopia and other regions’ experience.
Proposed Solution:
Like any other problem-solving process, how do you perceive the problem you are trying to solve?
The first major issue that this project seeks to address is the low level of knowledge and understanding of blockchain technology- focusing on Cardano Project Catalyst, and its associated **currency- ADA- among the people of Ethiopia. There is an increasing youthful, technology-accepted population and an increasing start-up culture but there is low awareness and idea of decentralised systems and how they can be adopted for innovation and gain, financial inclusion, and darwinism. Also, many Ethiopian developers and innovators cannot source decentralized funding schemes that can help fund their development projects.
Why did you arrive at such a choice of its realization?
The approach adopted is that of community targeting and promotion** to get a direct hold of the public and get knowledge on the same. Through utilizing such simplistic, apparent means of advertisement as banners, t-shirts, and stickers and through creating workshops and meetings for communities, the project fosters not only awareness and understanding of how people can profit from the use of Cardano. This method is appreciated because it unites branding with the process of familiarization with hands-on experience – people not only get to know Cardano but also learn how to engage with Project Catalyst and the general ecosystem.
Whom will your project touch?
The project will primarily engage the following groups:
- University Students and Developers: These are the future innovators who will benefit from learning what blockchain technology is and how it can be used to solve local issues.
- Entrepreneurs: Those interested in funding and opportunities on how decentralised finance can fund their innovative projects will find useful knowledge in how the Shiba Inu’s Project Catalyst works.
- General Public and Crypto Enthusiasts: By making ADA and blockchain more remarkable to every passer-by, potential users and investors will increase across the concurrent technologies.
How are you going to measure or quantify it?
Impact will be demonstrated through measurable outcomes:
- Event Participation: The popularity of given facilities will be reflected by the number of attendees of the workshops and meetups, while the usefulness of the information, received can be measured by the results of feedback forms.
- Social Media Engagement: The audience reach and engagements of the online campaign will reveal how far the message has gone out there in cyberspace.
-Community Growth: Engagement levels can be defined by the number of users participating in the Cardano ecosystem through a registration to Project Catalyst, submitting proposals or trading ADA.
What Makes This Solution Compelling?
The innovation of this solution is the ability to do both local advertising in addition to educational campaigns focused on Ethiopia which is a country that has a tremendously high inclination towards blockchain technology but has not been explored sufficiently. As a result, the rationale for the funding sources is to stay decentralized and build from the ground up and, with that, Cardano targets to create an innovation ecosystem that will allow people to be an active part of a new digital economy.
Who Will Benefit?
- Developers: Learning about what has been built on Cardano and how to use decentralized funding through Project Catalyst.
- Entrepreneurs: This approach helps the teams learn how to seek funding for their projects as well as participate in decentralization.
- Everyday Citizens: Getting to know a new financial system that has potential of creating investment opportunities through ADA coin usage and trading.
Why This is Important to Cardano
Extending the Cardano ecosystem in Ethiopia is in line with its vision of building a decentralized world economy especially for the needy areas. Promoting Cardano Project Catalyst benefits from this initiative in two ways: increasing the adoption of ADA and incorporating Ethiopia into the geography of blockchain development. Such grassroots movement can create more projects, extending the variety and range of concepts to be applied in the Cardano ecosystem as well as contributing to the expansion of the ecosystem on an international scale.
Positive Impact on the Cardano Community:
The value this project will generate for the Cardano Community is the expansion of its presence to other parts of the world including Ethiopia which is projected to have a high uptake for blockchain solutions. Developers and entrepreneurs will learn about Cardano Project Catalyst and ADA, thus bringing more people into the decentralised governance and innovation of Cardano. This is going to open up a new realm of proposals, ideas, and projects from this new demographic which will essentially bring in new ideas to the ecosystem.
Measuring Impact:
-Quantitative:
-Number of times the team attends a particular workshop or a meetup.
Project Catalyst registration by number of people.
Facebook likes/share, comments of the post, number of reposts.
This would be done by capturing an uptick in engagement with the ADA token either in terms of Exchange volume or localized usage.
-Qualitative:
-Surveys collected from participants immediately after an event – how much they know about Cardano, and how interested they are in investing in it.
Presentation of specific laureate or a developer, who proposed concepts or received financing through Project Catalyst.
Sharing Outputs and Opportunities:
-Open Source: All the content created for the project (designs, presentations, guides) will be published online under open license to enable people also to reuse and further develop the project.
-Global Reach: The results of the project will be posted to Cardano forums, Catalyst IdeaScale, and social media platforms where a wide range of users within the Cardano setting will visit.
-Collaborations: Other synergistic collaborations with other African blockchain implementation sectors will be developed, which brings interconnectivity within the Cardano sphere.
It also allows the project’s success to be experienced in Ethiopia and beyond by the greater Cardano community.
capability & Feasibility:
I have all the abilities to execute this project due to my insight into the African market particularly Ethiopia and due to my support for blockchain technology. I have built very many connections especially with universities, hubs that support technology innovation and entrepreneurship. To me, the required skills of an applicant are my strengths due to the community events organization, and work with decentralized platforms.
To ensure trust and accountability, I will:
Maintaining transparency is also a best practice, involved in presenting reports and using social media to describe the accomplishment.
When handling the finances allocate and spend all funds according to the set budget and forward detailed expenditure accounts and receipts to the funding authority.
Partner with local players*in order to develop a decentralized promotion system that has the trust of everyone it involves.
Thus, to assess feasibility, pilot events will be conducted I will observe the effects they produce, modify where necessary and expand if possible. Active participation of the community will inform the various decisions needed as the project progresses.

Funding Sources
This project will solely depend on the funding request of 20, 000 ADA’s as indicated on the funding request of 20, 000 ADA’s At this time we do not have any other funding sources to rely on but we are looking at ways of partnering and sponsoring with local businesses for more resources.
Portffolio Management
The project team will have a proper handling of the money given to it, according to the Fund Rules on who to disburse and how the money is spent. In terms of the budget, we will continue to report usage and project status to the community.
Value for Money
The 20,000 ADA budget proposed offers real value to the Cardano ecosystem through strategic outreach and community engagement in Ethiopia. Resources have been allocated after careful consideration of every cost element so that funds generate real value and achieve maximum impact:
1. Marketing Materials-5,000 ADA: This is to cater for the printing of banners, t-shirts, and stickers to create awareness about Cardano
1. Worksho Costs (4,000 ADA): This will go toward the hiring of venues and materials needed to train potential developers and entrepreneurs through workshop
2. Travel Costs (2,000 ADA): The travel cost will avail the opportunity to reach those underrepresented areas outside the major cities of the country, taking average means of transportation in Ethiopia to ensure outreach efforts inclusivel
3. Event Promotion (3,000 ADA): This is for social media advertisement and local promotions in order to attract a wide range of audience
4. Educational and Data Tools (1,500 ADA each): This third-party software subscription cost is at industry-standard levels and is crucial in the development of high-quality educational materials and to effectively analyze feedback from such activity
Supporting Evidence
This is reasonable considering the average monthly wage in Ethiopia is about 15,000 Ethiopian Birr, or some 267 ADA - a reasonably decent salary for using local resources. The budget is also in line with that of similar blockchain-related proposals where much emphasis on education and outreach is done to spark innovation.
Conclusion
This will be a strategic investment in outreach, education, and engagement in Cardano's panorama in Ethiopia. It shall ensure value delivery to the Cardano community with the prime agenda of transparency and effective management of funds.
