How can early stage entrepreneurs develop their skills to execute & communicate great ideas so voters/stakeholders value the project
This is the total amount allocated to DLT Entrepreneurship Toolbox.
Entrepreneurs strengths are ambition and vision but often lack structure to communicate ideas clearly enough to win voter hearts & minds
Higher quality of proposal submitted to Catalyst so entrepreneurs become confident presenting project principles, USP, strategy, objectives
Number of users, using the tools
Difference in score of applicants using the toolbox and those not using the tools.
Gaps that are filled in the entrepreneurial skills base of project teams from the start of ideation through project delivery.
Sustainability of venture plans beyond the scope of Catalyst development project.
Whatever your background, confidently communicating all the important elements of an early stage venture can be overwhelming for inexperienced entrepreneurs.
More should be done to help an increasingly diverse group of Project Catalyst entrepreneurs, at different stages of self-development, plus their teams and stakeholders to collaborate and communicate effectively.
This is important to Project Catalyst as, over time, the strongest ideas will be those that are the most coherently communicated and which ultimately resonate clearly with voters - particularly Expert evaluators!
This challenge seeks to help inexperienced entrepreneurs to learn and apply vital entrepreneurship skills so they can collaborate with teams and stakeholders on meaningful Catalyst projects. This also helps ensure sustainable impact and a positive return on investment and intention is made.
Business accelerators provide entrepreneurs with: "a wide range of opportunities for innovation in their industry and an alternative to traditional entrepreneurial education" (Miller & Bound, 2011).
However this is still an education which too many entrepreneurs miss out on! Meaning many talented engineers and ambitious entrepreneurs alike often struggle to get the resources required just to get started. And too many projects die before they are born!
The focus of this challenge should be on developing entrepreneurship skills in:
* entrepreneurial communications
** value proposition design and testing
*** financial literacy for business ideation
**** measuring sustainable development impacts and growth
This could be for developing their technology projects and proposals for (or during) Project Catalyst, the most disruptive business accelerator on the planet today.
This challenge seeks novel solutions that equips users with a simple to grasp digital entrepreneurship toolset and knowledge base to apply to their own venture plans. Digital learning, collaboration, and guiding entrepreneurs to self-determine goals and demonstrate learnt skills are all core to this challenge.
Interaction with Cardano's Treasury system and/or Native Asset Tokens could also play a significant role in basic prototyping or for entrepreneurship education resources to be created and made relevant to decentralised use cases. Though challenge submissions would also accept non-interactive design ideas.
However proposals should ultimately help startups take all the necessary steps to refine perhaps many ideas along the process so they become confident presenters and evaluators of their business' principles, uniqueness, business model, and project objectives. Plus enable valid ways to demonstrate sustainable progress during the lifetime of the Catalyst funding and beyond.
